managers/ceos so what if im a pissed off manager with an attitude lol mayne im just doing me i speak my mind just like you do but i have to censor myself ... please lol

rappers- everyone trying to put on for the coast but no one is doing it on a national scale so please bring the egos down ... and if you really getting dough be smart about it the west is the only one with out some real businessmen on it how come jay z has a basketball team clothing lines nelly has radio stations buying into the nfl they never have to rap another day in their life ...
i was talking to jazzy (google him) last time he was in the bay about an idea i had he was like thats the best thing that could happen to the west but itll never happen to many egos

I think fallowing the "mainstream" formula, you are begging not to make it now days

If you look at most artist in any genre currently having a buzz starting from the underground, it wasn't because they where "copying" or attempting to be "mainstream". They just found a lane, and ppl happened to dig them.

that just my opinon...

^ took the words out of my mouth...Indy artist will have a nice following, end up switching shit up I'm an attempt to get a wider reach, it goes nowhere and just pisses off their loyal fan base. Off the top of my head I can't think of any instances in the bay where that formula has helped anyone.

the problem with 99% of all artists body of work is that they are predestined NOT to ever make music the mainstream will ever want to hear OR be an artist w/an image mainstream listeners will ever want to knowingly listen to.

that's just the cold hard statistical outlook for rap artists. being a rap artist sucks. when you decide to pick up a mic, the odds are you will never get on because you just don't got what it takes and nobody gives a fuck about what you have to say.
