wasn't Assyria in the land known as Mesopotamia? And didnt that empire get conqured over a few thousand years ago?

I'm not a big O'Reilly Factor fan, infact i hate any non-sports talk show, but I'm sure he has a point in saying there is no Assyrians left. What did he back it up with? anything? What was the conversation about? Just to say it? Was it about Iraq?

If you want to come in here and educate and start a protest against someone....you gotta come with some knowledge.

no...it was a blunt statment....he has no right 2 speak on sumthing he doesnt know n e thing bout....assyrian lost there land...but as president bush said...assyrianz deserve 2 govern iraq...that iz there original land...saddam iz perscuting my ppl in iraq...murdering them left and right...we r in no way defendin saddam....we r americanz...but do what u want...close this thread....ignore it...everyother thread got the idea...i seem 2 have trouble wit this one....everyone here doesnt seem 2 realize that AM I ASSYRIAN....how does he have a point when i am 1 of about 1 million assyrinz in the world?....iz that statment ment 2 mean i am not a tru assyrian?

I feel you now man....I aint gonna close this thread.

If the united states can overthrow Saddam I suppose the right thing to do would be giving the Assyrian's their land back.....but Saddam's people didnt take it. It happened many years before he came to power. While Saddam has committed thousands of crimes of gennocide against Assyrians, he isn't the reason your people aren't in power in Iraq. Why isn't there a cry for Assyrian led power in Syria and other countries that now occupy the former land of the Assyrian empire? To me it sounds all too much like a plea for some charity by letting Assyrian people rule a new Iraq....if there is one.

Now that you've actually gave me some facts, now I can understand where you are coming from. Just like Nick, I dont watch to much stuff except for Videos, and Sports stuff.

I dont think what Sadam is doin is right. I wish somebody would do something about it. I hate the guy and what hes doin to the US right now. You have the right to say what you wanna say. Im not racist to any religion/ people or whatever.

I never actually cared about closing this thread it came off wrong.

I am a huge fan of Bill OReilly and his shows....I almost always watch his show and have found in the past that he usually doesn't speak on stuff without the facts to back it up. I am sure he has some info behind him or he wouldn't say it.

i doubt he backed it up with anything. this is the same guy who called mexicans coming across the border "wetbacks" (then quickly changed it...Freudian slip? hmmm).

this is the same guy who is the biggest anti-rap political figure on TV. the one who thinks Ludacris is a bad influence on kids, but thinks somebody who bites the head off of both a dove and bat, somebody whose kids smoke pot and drink underage on national television, and somebody who labels himself the "prince of darkness" is a better role model.

Ludacris isn't saint, but for fucks sake how can you even make the argument that he's any less of a role model that Ozzy?

Well.....I can say that I have never seen Bill say something unfounded....but at the same time, the Ozzy and Ludacris issue is one where I am on the fence....

Ludacris is bad for kids....Ozzy is too. He just feels that using someone with a bad message to promote a product is bad. The only thing I can see is that Ozzy isn't talking about bitches and killing people....they are both bad but I think Ozzy is a much lesser evil to children.

This is one that can really go either way depending on your arguement and either party could be right
