Ok. It has been slightly over 2 weeks since Wood's (RIP) passing and there have been many different stories, rumors, situations, etc regarding this sad event. However, with the story ranging from 'suicide' to 'possibly a murder' (and the events that were brought to light in the last few days), I think we, with all due respect, as fans, deserve to FINALLY know what happened to one of our all-time greats. Not so we can brag to our friends that we know the deal to try and impress them. Not so that we can be the first to make a bulletin about it on Myspace. Not so we can e-bang on others. But so that we may finally have some sort of closure on this and can let it sink in. We have supported Wood for nearly 8 years now thru his music, websites, merchandise, and so forth and I don't think this would be too much to ask. I understand there are some legal issues goin on right now so I understand if certain things can't be revealed, but if, at least generically, we can have some sort of idea what happened it would be kind of a breath of fresh air and we could begin to comprehend what happened.

Please know that I mean ABSOLUTELY no disrespect and that I'm not tryna come off as some sort of shot-callin boss or anything like that. It would just be nice to have some clarification on this story so that we may be able to possibly begin putting this aspect of it behind us as we move forward. Thank you for takin the time to read this and anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

^^^4 real, put yourself in their shoes for a moment. Someone that you grew up with, loved, or raised passes away and your still in shock yourself, and you got a bunch of strangers demanding to know what happened. personally i'd be pissed off. that's just me though, but still everytime i jump on this forum there is someone new asking them to tell them tha story of what happened. just let it be and let them deal with tha situation, if they want it on the net they would of brought to the net, and yes i've been a woodie supporter for years so it's not like i don't feel the sameway, i just respect the wishes of the family and close homies and keep to myself on that subject.

U CAN PUT TWO AND TWO TOGHETHER AND KIND OF FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED NOW THAT WOODIE'S MOM CAME ON HERE AND EXPLAINED KIND OF WHAT HAPPENED. I DEFINATELY DON'T THINK IT WAS A SUICIDE. IT'S WEIRD HOW YOU CAN MOURN FOR SOMEONE YOU NEVER KNEW. BUT HE TOUCHED MY LIFE IN SO MANY WAYS. LET THE FAMILY MOURN AND SOMEDAY IN THE FUTURE WE WILL GET SOME ANSWERS. you came off in a good way bro ,BUT i agree with the others..when THEY DECIDE THEY WANT TO SPEAK THEY WILL....if not that is their choice...being a fan doesn't entitle us to anything to be honest about it. Give them time ..

So if if E40 dies tomorrow does his family owe you some kind of detailed explanation why because you bought his albums for the last 10 years. Its family business and should remain that way. knowing what happen wont change any thing. rip homie.

who the fuck did e40 influence not me Woodie influenced alot of pople here his music changed the way we think about shit like the government for example

I'm on the same page as you Westbay. At first i was okay, then the more i find out about it, the more i feel the need to know. No newspaper or death documents from CA to OR. I've heard some info from some of his close friends and it just makes things even crazier and then the info from his mom. I mean okay, i can see someone jackin what he left behind.. its hella fucked up but theres always gonna be people like that. But asking for a "Ransom" for it? and then to try and take East Co. Co. away from his mom? what the fuck, how would someone even attempt to do that? unless they were really, really close too Woodie? and to do that to his own family? sounds like a setup or something. Who would do some stupid ass shit like that. It just makes me wanna vent. I didnt want to get into this, but i just think about it a lot. Some feel like they dont deserve to know, but Woodie always spit the truth to us, and never heald back. I feel there should have been some type of statement of what went on, what his business was in Oregon, who was with him last and who's going against his family. I really feel his close fans/friends deserve to know. I know i didnt kick it with him, i met him a few times, but we talked through PM's frequently and he was always so open and honest. I still cant believe all this mess. It's just fucked up.

yall should really try to clear any and all rumors youve heard from your mind..disregard it ALL as rumor cuz truth is...tho u might think u are puttin 2 and 2 together in reality your not..just scratch it all and remember the only fact u kno is..hes gone...all this "was it suicide..was he in oregon..was he murdered is he alive" shit is just feeding the fire...maybe youll know someday but right now you just dont kno and pressuring them aint gonna make it happen any faster IMO...i do hope yall get the story at some point tho just so these threads and rumors will stop

You know damn well if E40 died a story of what happened would be released within days of it happening. Just like in Mac Dre's case.

But yeah I respect Woodies family and friends choice to keep it on the down low. So only time will tell.
