at least as far as i am concerned. i am in the middle of playing some of the best games i have ever played lately,and they just keep on coming,this month alone is insane if you see the games that are being released one after another,here are some games off the top of my head...

call of duty 4
bioshock
halo 3
skate
forza 2
dirt
the darkness
persona 3
super mario galaxy
god of war 2
odin sphere
orange box
grimgrimoire
crysis
world in conflict
command and conquer 3
supreme commander

and soon to come maybe the game that will top all of these to me...mass effect.

there are some of the best games i have ever played in their respective genres and i have been playing video games for over 20 years.

funny, Bioshock just didn't do it for me, thats why its collecting dust on top of my PC... shit was lacking something... Can't put my finger on it... Ghost Recon is dope, havne't played the new ones, but the old ones were sick

I've beaten half the games on that dudes list. Most of them are good, but there's nothing outstanding like unique gameplay or unseen engines. Playing some of them and reminiscing back to the other games they feel like just doesn't cut it. God of War 2 was good, but basically NOTHING changed. The story just picked up. Halo 3 is a damn good game, but it's main reason for existing was to quell the original games fanatics. Nothing new, IMO. Sorry to shit on the thread, but it's true.
