to be honest..iv'e never had an issue with limewire..used it for years and my comp stays fine..i know ppl have had issues with it but use your fuckin head -- dont download a song that is like 2kb in size..thats a dead give away that its not legit...look at the size, file type, etc.. dont fuck with anything ending in .exe..im hardly ever on there, but if i am i only use it for singles..nothing else..stay away tho if ur an idiot and dont know shit about basics

I use SoulSeek for hard to find shit. New shit like albums, I usually just google them and find them on sites like megaupload, rapidshare, zshare,etc...

Here's a little tip for google searching:

Lets say your looking for a new album or whatever the fuck, type in either the name of the artist/album and put "megaupload, rapidshare,etc..." right after it. Your bound to find a site that has the download links.

Ex. "Snoop Dogg Tha Blue Carpet Treatment Megaupload"

download bearshare pro from a torrent. that program works pretty good, you just gotta be able to spot which files are fake. It most consistently has the most sources and random songs I have seen.

I cant believe anyone in their right mind would use limewire. Theres so many garbage files out there that are identical in file size to one that is good. songs have static in them variable bit rates. Terrible if you ask me.

Torrents are the way to go .

You know...I'm an amatuer at shit like this, and have used Napster, Kazaa, Ares, Bearshare...

Bearshare, once I started downloading again, was great. I used the new version, and got tons of songs, including entire albums. I amassed 720 songs in like...a week, max. Whole albums, rare (to me) songs, etc...I was in heaven.

Then, I go to burn them on a disc I can listen to in my truck...and son-of-a-fucking-pig-tailed-bitch if over 700 of the songs were ''protected'', and I couldn't burn.

I was told I could use a converter, but I don't know how to. I'm dumb like that, when it comes to this shit.

SO yeah...I'm lost. And drunk. And it's my birthday. And this shit sucks.
