Best and worst covers change a lot. I remember the time before every rapper had ridiculous Pen & pixel covers, then I really loved those covers. Back then such a cover was almost equivalent with quality underground hip hop. But when No Limit blew up everybody should have their action packed, detailed P&P type cover, killing the originality. Now I really hate those type of covers. I think the freshest covers right now are the simple ones. The new Jay Tee cover is great, just a plain picture and no stupid cops or flames or anything extra.

For great covers, I gotta give it up to Street Military: Next Episode and NWA Straight Outta Compton. Classic covers to me. I really like the Andre Nickatina covers because they are so different from the everyday rap cover.

The List of terrible covers may be long. But for a stupid cover from the P&P era, just look at Full Blooded Memorial day. I think the worst cover I know at the moment has to be E-Moe: Ghetto Gospel. A shame, because the album is dope as fuck.

Rappers need to realize that they should have their own style on their covers and not just copy what style is hot at the moment (just like their music: stay off Neptune's dick, please)
