I saw a Marine all dressed up walking to meet someone. He had a big police officer type hat that he kept adjusting cause it was too funking big.

First impression i had was:
What a retard. he going to die for some bullshit he signed up for. Fuckin dumbass.

Then i thought (for some reason) thats no way to think. I bet Romans hailed soldiers when they went by. LAdies swooned to them when soldiers walked the street. Shit i bet a Roman soldier couldnt go buy a loaf of bread without a dozen kids trailing him imitating him, a compliment, because they all fantasize about being in his shoes.

It didnt change my mind, i still think the guy is a fool.
But im notice no one else was happy to see him on the streets even in uniform. Fuck those guys, they wanted to die.:dead:

now-THE WAY I SEE THE U.S. ARMED FORCES IS.....
YOU CANT SPEAK ON IT UNLESS YOU HAVE SERVED IN IT.
ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKIN IN AND SHIT TALKIN IS JUST BLOWIN SMOKE-
just like the dope game, you cant speak on it, unless you've been it it.

it just doesnt make sense.

thats my view.

I just exist in a different thoughtwave i guess.

But both us did have the same choice weather to join or not. I dont see how i couldnt speak on it when its a matter of opinion from the start.

no offense to you Blight.......
but i kicc bacc and see alot of cats on this board makin IGNORANT OPINIONS on thangs they dont know about.
YEA.....THERE IS A SUCH THANG AS A "DUMBASS OPINION".

THE WAY I VIEW IT>>>
i see homies on the board-
ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKIN IN then BLOWIN SMOKE
ABOUT THANGS THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE IN.
(then callin it REAL TALK>lmao)

maybe its just me.....but if i dont have experience about "something".....then i dont shit talk.
thats not to say that you can't kicc bacc and "discusse" a subject.
i keep my mouth shut, until i've been dipped in the game to speak on it.

YOU GET" RESPECT", AND HOMIES DONT JUST HEAR YOU, THEY ACTUALLY "LISTEN 2 YOU", WHEN YOU SPEAK ON SOMETHING YOU KNOW ABOUT, BASED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE.

at least, thats what i was taught-

^cool

But im sayin this:
You grow up and have a free choice for pretty much any occupation. So you decicde to go to be a nurse. People who have no medical education backround say "what a moron, why not be a doctor." Well the nurse has his opinions why or why not he became that. But when you remember that he once was not a nurse or even considering it, he was the same as me. We just happen to go differently in life. Why could i not speak of him as a moron (not that i would) for his choice. I do not need to be a nurse to discuss basic principals of being one. The same as i know that millitary men are there to kill or be killed. I said hes a fuckin retard for becoming that. I didnt talk any shit on their fundamentals or what they learn there. Im speaking on the obvious aura of what it is essentially to be a soldier. And it all came from a choice.

I dont mean to offend any millitary people, but i feel that way. I tell it to people in the gym that are soldiers and marines.

Well i know tons of people who go to be able to pay off their school loans. One of my good friends was starting to go to the marines. I (and some others) told him how retarded he was being. He never went.

A long time ago, we used to hang at my friend Scotts. He had a recruiter always stopping by. I openly discussed with the recruiter why i thought it was stupid to join his force.

I hold nothing agains them as peole, i told em tho i think they are stupid for doing it.

It's a pride thing for me, much like lifting is for you. Pride in physical and mental discipline. Doing something most people just think about and proly couldn't do even if they tried. Toss in a pussy magnet of a uni, a G.I. Bill, good training, great stories to pass on, and for my parent to be able to say, "My son is a Marine" rather than, "My son is in jail" and words like "retarded" and "stupid" are simply sound bitter and out-of-place.

Your the retard. He's putting his life on the line to defend himself, his future, and his family. He obviously has more heart than you'll ever have. This is not about how "we" but how you have a first impression. Your the fucking dumbass who cant even respect someone dying for your way of life, you just pout on the sideline like a bitch like your life is more important than his. My first impression of when i see somebody like you is pity for such stupidity and selfishness. My impressin of the Marine is respect and admiration.

Well at least someone has their backs.

I bet a lot of people would agree with me. More heart than ill ever have, but at least mone will still last longer than his and it wont have shrapnel stuck in it. Also he volunteered to do it. Thats like volunteering to go on death row.

And ill stay on the sideline "pouting" as you call it minding my own business and living my life, not being a number in an army used to fight against people i have no problems with. Forced to kill people i would never even meet if i wasnt put into an offensive unit. Forced to kill them because head honchos running countries offend each other by heving fucked up opinions.

Yeah, ill stay on my side line.

"Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You?...I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom....you curse the Marines. You have that luxury...my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me there. We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I'd prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post."

On this issue we will not agree Blight.

Make all the bullshit reasoning you want, the bottom line is, your a pussy, and the least you could do is cheerlead. Your so intwined with your selfishness that you cant even comprehend why these people are putting it on the line. Your too scared you might break a nail. Your existense is pointless. I'll take 1 Marine on my team over 20 Blights.

you can work for PG&E and get your ass electricuted and die. man a lot of proffessions have dangers. when people sign up for the marines they don't do so to die, just as other jobs their is a risk tho, and I respect them for making that risk to better our safety, whether I agree with the use they are put to or not.

My home girl is signing up, and while my first reaction was "What, are U dumb?", now I appreciate her resolve. She has a kid, little education, and she is doing this to give them a better life. We went to party and some fool was talking down to her about it. It made me mad b/c while I understood what he was saying, and might have agreed to a degree, he had no idea why she was doing it. A character once stated, It's not enough to put yourself in someone shoes, U have to walk around in them for awhile.
