How does an underground artist like Lynch get so big?

I mean he's never really done any big shows (at least that I know of)

he's never had a radio hit

until recently he never had any nationally-distributed rappers featured on his shit

most promotion for/about him has been false or inaccurate

so how is it that so many people know who he is?

this is not meant in a demeaning way
I'm just asking because I seriously dont get it..

lynch made his fanbase by word of mouth.and you can credit his skills for that.

"the streets are talkin"t-po

i always felt like 24 deep made the pot boil and season of the siccness made it spill over.

in that case..

I wonder how many sales he would have if everyone who heard him actually BOUGHT his albums instead of burning them...

^^ yes it does.. it means he's a tight ass rapper.
so what, there are lots of "tight ass rappers" and lots of them go unknown. lots of them do performances every week and hustle to sell cds and they're still unknown. so how is it that Lynch blew up? was it luck?
why is it that Lynch got exposed so much more than any other "tight ass rappers"?
If someone like SICX or COS (who I think are both on the same level as Lynch lyrically) had the proper exposure, they would blow up too

Toop - yea same for me homie, I had it on repeat for about a month.

triplegold - yea I think that's probably the song that most people relate him with

the reason why lynch is so popular is cuz he did something different to get attention (ripgut canniballism) also...

he has the best voice in the industry...they all go together perfectly and make the brotha lynch hung...

he inspires me!

all i remember is hearing some shit (im pretty sure it was rest in piss) on a compilation called "rap g style" back in 95 when priority was in its hay day. after i got "season of da siccness" i couldn't listen to other shit that much unless it was underground. everything else seemed kinda cheesy. nobody was even close to lynch or black market for that matter on a "gangsta" level back then. they made the industry gangstas look plastic. that shit had cats in my small ass town bustin caps and turnin into thugs. plus at that time, nothing was hittin in a ride like that unless you had some techmaster bass tapes. that shit was perfect to ride to. lynch is pretty big in ohio. go to the record store in my town and they got his whole catalog in stock at all times.

shum different. i mean there's hella people that are different, but lynch wuz different AND he had hella talent. i think blacc market did a good job in choosing a distributor cuz for an independent label to have their c.d. in atlanta on shelves bacc in tha day wuz a good thang. i heard uv lynch thru my homiez from cali. they came bacc and let me hear that ish i wuz hooked. fold.

season was well supplied even when it droped.24 deep was hard to find and like only 1 or 2 of them every couple months.

priority put it in plain view behind the counter (season) 24 deep you had to hunt for that shit.unless you were in sacramento.

I remember hearing Black Market and Locc 2 The Brain in people's cars a lot, but it took sitting down and listening to Season (years later) high as fuck, relaxing and just letting the music flow and dig deep into my brain to really feel it....:dead:
