The trial is a Joke and the courtroom is full of puppets. The US created “Supreme Iraqi Criminal Tribunal” and the US sponsored Iraqi government, is a travesty of justice.

This is nothing more than a show trial designed to quickly find Saddam guilty and executed.

Out of all the things Saddam is accused of doing, why is it THIS, out of all things, what Saddam is on trial for?

“The Dujail massacre has been carefully chosen, instead of other Baathist crimes that were encouraged or sanctioned by the major powers. These include the slaughter of Iraqi Communist Party members in 1979; the murder of thousands of Shiites in the lead-up to the 1980 US-backed Iraqi invasion of Iran; the use of Western-supplied chemical weapons against Iranian troops and civilians during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war; the pogroms against the Kurdish population in the late 1980s; and the butchery of tens of thousands of Shiites and Kurds following the 1991 Gulf War.”

innocent of ordering 140 iraqis in dujail to be executed in 1983???Id bet everything i ever owned on it.since thats his first case he's being tried for,i assume thats where your implying the innocence. On the whole deal?I dont think hes much worse then other leaders right now,I think theres way more fucked up shit goin on in Africa, and something the US could easly control better then the sit. in iraq. But since hes gettin tried by Iraqis, and way more then half the iraqis can agree on one thing, hang that punk.Somethings are jus bigger then life, i jus think its interesting to watch history in the making.Seeing a guy with so much power transform into someone who has to be told when to speak, where to sit.I saw some case recordings on cnn and you could see how pissed hed get when people would tell him to stop talking.fucked up shit, but this world is jus a big fucked up situation. But the most fucked up shit is that Amercia picked him up convinced the world that we should trie him NOW,and on THIS.Id like to wake up to Russia stealin George Bush and tryin his ass for all teh fucked up shit hes done

The trial is a violation of international law.

An occupying country - in this case the US - can't override the laws of a country that it has invaded and create a judicial system.

It is illegal under the Geneva Conventions because it was created by statute when Iraq was run by the Coalition Provision Authority and signed by the Iraqi Governing Council, an unelected body.

In addition he has immunity from prosecution as a former head of state, and retrospective legislation cannot remove that immunity.

The most they have on saddam for this case is he signed 140 death warrants the way Bush signed 152 death warrants while he was governor of Texas.

Atleast if this shit can end it will allow the Iraqi people to get on with their lives, removed from the fear which has kept them in chains for so long. He's done some pretty evil stuff, I say kill him.

No he should not die, no he should not be president (but neither should Bush)...

Just another casuality of the BushCo Coup, no one tripped when they took out the pentagon, why about the leader of Iraq...

^^^ YEah none of OUR business.

I think he should live, in prison or in exile or free i dont care. He wasnt a threat before. Let his people overthrow him on thier own. Not us go there and destroy a whole country. Now they arent really getting TRUE FREEDOM, its OUR VERSION we push on them in a model we approve or dissapprove. So they get some type of freedome but its not natural. Its like theyre the 51st state, 51st of all ;)
