99% of rappers out there *say* they come hard, but North Cali beats and lyricists have so far put out the hardest hit shit on record. And ain't nobody even touchin what's comin out of the West and HAS BEEN comin out the west for years...

But Garbage ass cats like 50 doin it big puttin out low quality shit and thats a damn shame.

Aint nobody ever gon hear Hollow Tip Takin No Shortz or Fully Loaded albums etc... They will walk around thinkin Paul Wall or some other MTV transplant got the hardest hits out. It's just a shame.

LOL great example using Hallow Tips annoying ass.. you can say nor-cal has some tight lyricist, but production? come on.. E-A-Ski, Rick Rock, Phonk Beta...thats about all i'm feelin... the bay area and nor cal is coming out with some B grade ass shit, and thats why it ain't blowin' up. You can clown on 50 all you want, and maybe that nigga doesnt have the most interesting shit, but he does have hooks and production that will catch on regardless of how many hate.

Nor-Cal artists kill themselves by keeping it real.. look at Mac Dre... there are so many songs that would have been classic MD cuts, but because he soiled the song with his annoying ass homies from the crest they're ruined. Dubee has ruined so many Mac Dre songs. So has most of those motherfuckers Bavgate and all them... hella gay. Same with Nickatina, letting Lolo ruin his shit... Lynch too. All those motherphuckers up north putting out B-grade. STEP YO GAME UP NIGGA!

i hope so too..but its a hard market...
record sales are down ACROSS THE BOARD...
so its pretty much a person by person basis as far as if this game is being good to them as far as money ya know...and it all depends on what they do with the money they earn as well..are they investing it or saving it, or are they puttin 20's on a scraper?

man its bullshit cuz lotsa rappers out here in the bay got way better spitterz than mos tmainstream rappers...look at young jeezy, he can't rap for shit but his production is fuckin good...i hear a lot of bay music, and the production is good but a lot of times is missing something...i be feelin tha beat thinkin something good is comin and its the intro but really its the song....its a 50/50 chance to hear music that REALLY compares to mainstream...don't get it twisted i luv bay rap to death i try to convert listeners to bay rap ALL THE TIME, but.i mean listen to people like scott storch, his music has a lot of things going on in it in from the clap to a little whistle you barely hear....I ain't sayin that bay music gotta have a stroch storch sound to it or any other producers but to actually have that sound of quality....i mean u think of good Bay producers its EA Ski, Traxxamillion, Rob-Lo, Rick Rock.....

Co-sign...people need to realize that...its great to root for your team but to say they're the best when YOU KNOW THEY AREN'T is a different story.

With that said....GO NINERS !!

Northern Cali has very few true lyricists. Aside from Yukmouth, Locksmith, The Jacka, and San Quinn, and maybe Mista F.A.B., I can't even think of anyone else.

Yea, definatly planet asia and rasco, and heiro....I also left out Ya Boy, and I'm sure some others as well..

All I'm saying is, overall, the Westcoast and South are not as dependent on lyrics as most of the Eastcoast emcee's. The West and South tend to depend more on production and style of delievery...
