Johnny Z's production knocks. The N2deep song is sick. Young Dru spits heat. The young d boys are on there. The Suspects. Kobra. Mac Lee. Some other cats.

I think Golden State is better cause it has some of my favourite songs on there : Where We Dwell, Look Like A Playa, and much more.

And yeah you do need to buy everything 40 Ounce puts out cause it's all heat!

That 707 Sequel is heated, DRU spits so fucking hard on that song D-R-U it has heated tracks by the Young D Boyz, a new N2Deep track with TL ... just get it okay?

Peace!

Well, if I had to choose, I'd say THE GOLDEN STATE, which lyrically touched on all aspects of the game, but THE RUMBLE's dope, too. I guess the main difference for me between the two is in the production--THE GOLDEN STATE incorporated everything from The Time-style '80s-ish tracks to slow G-Funk, while THE RUMBLE was basically a straight uptempo Funk-type CD musically (i.e., the old Gap Band releases, Cameo-type tracks, etc). Maybe it's just my ears, I don't know, but it's all good...

The cool thing about 40 Ounce releases is that they NEVER get dated! You could play 24-7-365 today, and it would still hold up, for example. 40 Ounce gives us groovy new shit to bump every year, and I'll bet you can't name one wack 40 Ounce CD. Not one. How many labels have you been able to say THAT about? Can't wait for the new N2Deep to come out soon...

PEACE!
