Must have for any true ECW fan. Here's a description and bonus matches. It's really a must buy if you liked old ECW at all.
E-C-W! E-C-W! E-C-W!" - a chant still heard in arenas around the world. ECW: Extreme Championship Wrestling redefined professional wrestling in the '90s with a reckless, brutal, death-defying, and often bloody style that came to be known as "hardcore." It attracted a rabid, cult-like following that is still going strong today.

This 6-hour, 2-disc set follows the rise and eventual demise of the company that raised the bar and revolutionized sports-entertainment forever.

DVD EXTRAS:
Seven bonus matches, including:
*The Pit Bulls vs. Raven & Stevie Richards *Double Dog Collar match*
*Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Psicosis *Lucha Libre Deathmatch*
*Mikey Whipwreck vs. The Sandman *Steve Austin appearance*
*2 Cold Scorpio vs. Sabu
*Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven* *Raven's last match in ECW*
*Tazz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow*
*Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn*

*includes alternate commentary

I have this DVD, its very good.

The one I been meaning to watch is Forever Hardcore doc. its the one that Sabu, Raven, Shane Douglas and a few others were involved in and it dropped the same year as Rise and Fall (i think). I have yet to see it myself.

Forever Hardcore is real good, and it's a great complementary dvd to Rise and Fall of ECW because it touches on the stuff that Rise and Fall didn't mention or just glanced by. I don't think anybody should see one doc. w/o the other cuz with both of em you pretty much get the full story of ECW.

I can't find that Hardcore Forever doc anywhere.
i got it at f.y.e., it was a year back though....
i already had the forever hardcore doc but the other discs with re-union events was pretty good, Shane Douglas looked like he could still go.
