What are the moves that you guys would like to see best. I for example would like to see, despite how good valdez started out in the beginning of the season, and how strong howry was at times he still allowed a lot of walk-offs.

Merkin Valdez
Bob Howry

depart, and in exchange add both,

Dan Runzler
Waldis Joaquin.

And the line-up i would actually like to see on Houston's Opening Day would be (including sanchez for now and lets face it molina will be back and bochy will not move him out of the clean up spot):

LF Torres
2B Sanchez
3B Sandoval
C Molina
SS Uribe
1B Ishikawa
RF Schierholtz
CF Rowand
P Lincecum

Your contribution to this thread please?

we all know there main objective is to get some consistent hitters in that lineup. There good in the pitching category, now its time to get some batters that are actually worth a shit that arent old.

I honestly don't expect much. It would be nice to get a couple of big bats, but I highly doubt it. Sabean is already saying theres not much in the free agent market which mean more overpaying for over-the-hill, GRIZZLED VETERANS!! Expect to see Molina, Winn and hell even Aurilia back!

I'm going out on a limb and say that renteria had an off year, lol. But seriously you never know how someone might comeback the year after, but chances are he will be worse than this season, I say he ahould at least get 200-250 at bats in '10.

Same can be said about Winn, look at his previous seasons numbers. 262 is his lowest batting average since he's been with us. also 2 Hr's is his lowest, previous years was between 10-14 HR's.

Randy can stay another year if you ask me.

Renteria's numbers were already declining before he joined the Giants. That's why noone signed him before the Giants.

Are there any big name hitters hitting Free Agency this year? Honestly I think with our pitching staff Free Agents will look to the Giants as a team that can go real deep if they have the hitting to back up the pitching.
