I know Sergio is our guy but I have always preferred a power pitcher to close the 9th. I will always pull for romo because he is our guy, but I will always be biased toward the Rob Nen, Brian Wilson type of closer over a slider guy. Its just my opinion. I know its only 1 game so im not saying off with his head AT ALL!!!!! I just hope this doesnt become a trend. We need every early season win we can get and when you got a team down on the road you have to finish it.

Navarro hit a good inside two seamer hats off
Pagan should of had one of the 2 hits to him in the 9th
he has been 6/6 this year and the best in mlb going back to last year if you check the stats
he is lights out against righties because of the slider and fastball
not as good against lefties (which chicago had up all the 9th inning until castro) he has to use the 2 seamer and changeup more to them
i agree it's tough to feel confident when you don't have an overpowering closer but i would take romo over wilson in a heartbeat because of his control.

also add Oakland, KC, Rangers to that list...but you're right...ATL and Washington gonna be a bigger headache..
Win today with minimal offense is fine by me. I dont expect us to put up 8 runs a game. And hell Buster hasnt even hit a home run yet.... We will get it going soon enough.

Giants Win the series!!! Cubbies looked bad. They gave away todays game! Lets go roll up the Brewers real quick and get back to the house! We got the Pads and D backs coming to the house next week. We take firm control of our division early in the year with us playing strong over the next 10 days! Lets go GIANTS!
