They got cameras ALL OVER FUCKING DOWNTOWN ST. PAUL... on the corners, above the traffic lights, on stop signs, on buildings, on windows.... I feel like I'm participating in The Truman Show part 2...
They're closing down shop on all the "normal folk" downtown activities for the whole convention... Can't bring my kids to the Children's Museum, OR the Science Museum, so therefore they're DENYING MY CHILDREN EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES while at the same time CUTTING FUNDING for their actual school's educational opportunities...
But yet, they're keeping the FUCKING BARS open until 4 AM so the shitdicks can hammer down their Cosmopolitans and tap-tap their way into men's room encounters...
All this for a bunch of rich closet-homo white sunuvabitches who don't give a flying rat fuck about Minnesota in any other aspect except electoral votes...
Meanwhile, they're kicking the homeless out of the Dorothy Day Shelter and dressing it up so it doesn't "hurt their image" when the press is filming outside of Xcel...
And because I work in downtown, what usually is a leisurely 10 minute drive is going to turn into a 45 minute hellscapade with secret service to my left and a prodding finger up my ass checking for explosives...
And the entire "pitch" to St. Paul? 'It'll bring loads of revenue to our city and our state'

Even the "official" venues are frustrated because they haven't even been close to being completely booked... And the RNC's response? "Oh, they'll at least break even with what they would've booked for these days anyway"..
