No, they didn't underachieve. Underachieving is like...your kid comes home, and says, "Damn, dad...I only made the JV football team."

The Bulls last year were more like..."Damn, dad...that kid with cerebal palsy down the street, you know, the one with his sister Sarah attatched at his forehead...he just kicked my ass and made me cry."

Go Bulls.
yes they underachieved. you show me one person who predicted their epic fail of a 2007-2008 season. one person.

Looks like our starting lineup will be
PG. D. Rose
SG. K. Hinrich
SF. L. Deng
PF. D. Gooden
C. J. Noah

Thats what I thought it would be but I was unsure between Thomas & Gooden at the 4 spot!! The season begins tuesday so lets go!! Got Em!!

We are weak at the center position. Horribly, horribly weak.
I dont know man I think Noah will develop man!! If he matures and concentrates on b-ball I think he can help us!! Well see though!! The good thing is the center position is weak overall in the league so thats ok!! Got Em!!

I don't agree...I've never been even close to sold on Noah. He's an energetic athlete, but won't match up well against any above-average centers in the league.

And the center position is ''weak''...? Damn, you must have forGOT EM. Here's some players I think are better than Noah:

Andrew Bogut
Andrew Bynum
Marcus Camby
Tyson Chandler
Sam Dalembert (SP?)
Al Horford
Jamaal Magloire
Amare Stoudemire
Rasheed Wallace
Yao Ming

Throw in Shaq, if he's healthy, and Oden, if he's healthy and lives up to half of his hype, and there's two more.

We need to trade Noah for Manute Bol.

Thats fine if we disagree on Noah, but Im sure u hope he does good right? lol. And as for the center position look at it this way.....There are what 30 teams in the NBA and u named 10-12 centers! Thats a 3rd of the teams that aint got good centers! See what I mean!! The forward and guard posiont is much more deeper than the center spot! And to be honest some of those centers u named aint that good anyway! We had Chandler and u saw what happened! I mean if he didnt have Paul hookin him up he wouldnt be much!! Amare & Rasheed arent centers so that makes your list even smaller!! Its real that the center position aint that strong!! If our other positions can ball then we can get by at center, just look at the Celts!! Got Em!!

Yet Noah isn't a dominant center, either, and if I had my choice, I'd play him (if I had to) at PF, even though there's no ''power'' in his game.

Of course I want him to do well; he's on my team, but I think we should have used that pick on someone else.

Chandler wasn't the player he is now with us, but that's pretty easy to explain: He's developed and matured. Also, the CP arguement is great; of course he wouldn't do as well without him, but he DOES have him, and that's what WE would have to face if we played.

A couple of those players on that list may not be that great, but neither is Noah. That's the thing...it doesn't have to be an all-star center; Noah's not a great player, anyways. Look at they way Perkins (Boston) played in the Finals; he'd tear Noah up. LOL

You forgot the best young center in the league(IMO) Dwight Howard. Also Magloire is washed up... Andris Beidrins is a better center at this point than him but either way, you mentioned only 12 players and there are 30 teams in the league...good centers are rare nowadays.

LOL! My bad, I was going to add him last, and forgot him. Pryzbilla (SP?) from Portland...you could add him. Magloire may be past his prime (lol @ prime) but Noah isn't anywhere near anywhere good. LOL

I like the kid, but it's going to take a few years for him to develop into what he needs to be right now, and it may be too late by then; who knows what the roster is going to look like then.

And about your ''good centers are rare nowadays'' comment...I agree...but if they are so ''rare''...it's not a good sign that a third of the league (at least) has a better center.

Well redrun who do u think we shouldve took with that pick?? Not Spencer Hawes who most folks thought we would take. I was hella happy we didnt take that dude!! And the players available at that pick we didnt need like Thaddeus Young etc.. We have small forward sowed up! So we had to get a big man and he was the best one there! And u goin a lil to far with names like Pryzbilla!! Hahhaah!! Well see what happens mane!! I think hell be fine, I am more worried about Hinrich at the 2 spot and Thomas developing into a stud! I mean we traded away Aldridge for this dude so he better start ballin or thats his ass! hahahah!! Got Em!!!

Marc Gasol, Al Thornton, Rudy Fernandez, Julian Wright, Thad Young, Spencer Hawes and Rodney Stuckey are all players who are better and who were taken after Noah. I know you guys are deep at the 3 but you gotta go for the BPA and not team need (see Bowie being drafted instead of Jordan due to Portland already having a good young 2 guard in Drexler) And Przybilla is a decent starting center in the the NBA and a luxury off the bench. Noah has yet to prove he is either.

Yeah...those are all great points, but hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20, meaning Gasol? He was a BIG question mark, Fernandez, Young, and Stuckey, as well. Julian Wright was high on my list at the time, but I'm not real impressed with him now. And Spencer? No, thanks.

Obviously, Fernandez is looking very good, as is Thornton, but like I said...they were question marks. BUT Noah was NOWHERE near a ''sure thing'', so I do agree with you, to an extent.

THORNTON! That's who we should have got, though.

Al Thornton.

Who did we have at that time at PF?
Welkl Thornton isnt a power forward so that question doesnt matter!! Got Em!!

Im coo with any small forward or guard u said because we have to many at those positions accept the 4, and some of those players I wouldnt even want like Hawes, Gasol etc who aint done shit either! So how do u say we shouldve took these guys when they aint done shit also?? Makes no sense!! But regardless well see how these foos pan out!! Got Em!!

1.) I thought we should taken Thornton.

THEN I asked who the PF was, because I honestly don't remember.

2.) If those guys haven't done shit, what has Noah done? Nothing, either...but I don't see much upside to him at all, and I do see some in a few of those guys.

It wasn't a horrible pick or anything, a lot of the guys left on the board at that point were viewed as not having much separation between them in terms of talent/potential. Its just that a lot of guys taken after him are better players than he is and in the draft you should always go after the best player available and then deal with roster balance issues later. Plus Noah seems like a cancer to me. He's already been suspended a couple times because his team mates voted to suspend him after he acted like a spoiled little rich boy faggot son of a tennis player.
