Now here’s a very welcoming news for Black Ops players who have just recently ordered their game today. As some of you may probably heard, Treyarch may not be the developer for the next sequel for Black Ops. Apparently, on an unearthed interview with Eric Hirshberg (CEO, Activision) they are planning to reveal this yet to be titled installment on the half of 2011 –just like when they revealed the title of Black Ops, and their partnering with sledgehammer developers for this project.
While the leak fails to revealed much of the details and changes, it was later on disclosed that the game will not change from the traditional FPS type of combat (thank god!) and take note, it will have some added twist like putting the whole environment in a futuristic combat with Space Marines, yep you heard me correct. This all makes sense for a company like Activision who wants to improve the gameplay of Call of Duty. Remember when they first revealed those Nazi Zombies?
In addition to this report, it was also said that Activision-Sledgehammer is not only working for COD but with a new undisclosed action game as well. Anyway, the space-marine Black Ops will be revealed on the holidays of 2011 leaving all of us with one year of excitement towards Black Ops. Let’s savor it, while it last!
