there's gonna be some tight shit coming out but it's gonna be the one's with the RADIO PLAY, mainstream features and top notch production to do it BIG. i can't wait to hear the new taydatay but will he get some shit on kmel or other radio stations, is he gonna get good features. that's just one example.

E-40 - Breakin News i shouldn't even have to mention him cuz he's already nationwide now. but this will make him bigger and will help the rappers that are featured on his shit like turf talk, richie rich, ea-ski, san quinn, messy marv and some of the bay area rappers.

San Quinn- I give u my word he gets plenty of radio play already, will have beats from ric rock, possibly dj quick and other tight producers. he will have the big features and he's ready and about to do it real big.

Yukmouth - Godzilla this album has been hyped for a while and i know it'll be good. we'll find out soon enough.

EA-ski -Pure Pressure like messy, he don't give a fuck and is callin out names, he says some shit that will make u listen and hook u into the song and is also gettin radio play, the production is already there.

messy marv -different slanguages messy is ready and is calling out names now he just don't give a fuck and after his last two albums he's only gonna get better.

JT the bigga figga - main event look at all the people he's networking with. he's always been tight and is bound to get bigger in the game.

watch out for cellski and all his shit comin too!! locksmith and balance as well.

there's others too but these people excluding locksmith and balance have been around for a while and have put out albums that have straight hits on it. THE BAY IS BACK QUIT HATIN

I'm interested in JT's "Main Event"... From what he posted it looks like he's got Lloyd Banks on it and possibly 50 in the near future... I wanna see who else he's gonna network with on this 1... I think JT's back doin' it the way it's suposed 2 be done... & it's good 2 see that...

Also, don't forget DONE DEAL RECORDS in general--not just Quinn, but Fully Loaded, Willie Hen and the others could break out and make it big, too--IF they're promoted right, and IF Chuck finds an appropriate distributor for their future CDs.

PEACE!

You know, how many times in the past has the bay been slated to blow up again? Everytime it was supposed to happen because of this release or that event, it didnt. I aint gonna believe till I see it. But i remain hopeful.

"is he gonna get good features"

" ... but this will make him bigger and will help the rappers that are featured on his shit ..."

"... he will have the big features"

I just wish the fans would stop concentratin and making such a big deal about features. The whole feature thing is like a mufucka tryin to capitalize on another cats fame instead of creating some fame of their own. Unless it's a real tight SONG (not just hella raps to a beat), features (to me) serve no purpose anymore. It's been done to death.

if this is the same peete that i think it is i'm feeling your beats but it's nice to get variety. i like seeing rappers like quinn get beats from the top dogs like ric rock. it's tight seeing these bay area guys like jt hooking up with some people on top right now. that's the quickest way to the top. feature are a good thing as long as there's not too many. and if u think it's not good promotion for guys on 40's new album then you're crazy. fans like seeing good features on an album. if u wanna talk about shit getting old then let's talk about mixtapes.

Sure, I remember...but it seems like regardless of what the era is, and no matter how well or poorly things are going, that you're ALWAYS going to run into people who say that "things aren't what they used to be..."

People tend to have emotional ties to whatever music happened to hit when they were kids. If you were a teen during the 1960s', you might think the 'sixties was the "best"--not because it necessarily WAS, but because that's what you KNOW and GREW UP ON...someone who grew up during the 'seventies will say that Led Zep, Black Sabbath or Kiss was the best, because that's what THEY know...A lot of people can't always expand beyond what they know, and that's something they have to deal with themselves...

It's all a matter of opinion, and opinion are like assholes: everybody has them. Much love to the Bay. PEACE!

I don't think my beats have anything to do with anything. I don't know what it is, I just don't hear cats doing real SONGS anymore. Aint too many out there talkin about anything substance wise anymore. Mufuckas just lookin at Soundscans and seein who is sellin in what region or who's sellin period and they like, "Ooh, I gotta get some of that fan base" and go and get that person on they shit. That's coo if a good song comes out of it, but when it's a bullshit song about nothin it's just a waste of 3 minutes and 30 seconds. That's just me, maybe I'm losing touch.
