the best thing about arcades were the graphics were way better back in the day then on consoles. I played a virtual reality arcade game way back in like 95. Now that I think about it its pretty dumb that a place like Dave & Busters doesn't any, on a sidenote i was bored at that place after the first 30 minutes

uh the problem with "cool arcade" games is they cost like TWO FUCKING DOLLARS TO PLAY..

and they usually SUCK.. remember the first time you saw a game that cost a dollar?

so a dope game today should be like $12.00 in quarters. if they even accept change.. i bet its all debit card slots

I miss arcades and still check out the arcade in a local Nathan's at least once a year. But pretty much every time I visit Vegas I spend most of my time in an arcade.

Arcades need to go back to 50 Cents, quarters or tokens. That's how you're going to get people to play. The market is out there... People want to play live when they're playing fighting games, and people want to play shooters with a huge screen, a gun and a foot pedal and shit in front of them.

I've actually been talking with someone about opening a family complex type of place and researching shit like that so good look on the article.

There's still a pretty decent arcade here close to my house. F Dave and Buster's though mayn. You can't get outta there without spending $50 or so if not more, then when you're leaving you can't help but to think that you coulda just bought a new Xbox or PS3 game for the same price that would've been a lot better.

I think the arcades have it all wrong. Instead of trying to house the newest, most expensive games, they should keep about 50% of the tightest old school games. No arcade should not have SF2, After Burner and crap like that

THEY SHOULD COME UP WITH SOMETHING TO BRING PEOPLE IN FOR A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH SOMETHING POPULAR LIKE MULTIPLAYER GAMES, LIKE AN ARCADE MODERN WARFARE WHERE YOU GET AN ACTUAL REPLICA OF A GUN U WANT TO USE AND YOUR ACTUALLY IN THE ARCADE ROOM PLAYING WITH 16 OTHER PEOPLE AND TRY TO MAKE IT SORTA VIRTUAL REALITY OR SOMETHIN, AND CHARGE JUST QUARTERS, THEY WOULD MAKE WAY MORE MONEY FOR CHARGING A QUARTER THEN 50 CENTS OR A DOLLAR

I think this idea is freakin awesome but man as someone who has maintained a data center before, this is gonna be expensive as hell to run and maintain. Wonder what the games will cost? but i am all for the idea. By the way tad off topic but anyone checked out that BlazBlue Continuum Shift? That game is pretty sick! I do like my Tatsunoko vs Capcom though and it has the same look an feel to it.

i like the idea.. but i always wondered why they dont have like some sort of gambling arcade type games at casinos. like a race car game where the winner wins a cash pot that everyone used to play the game. or placing bets on street fighter. that would be coo..

BBCS is cool. Can't wait for Platinum the Trinity to be released as DLC
