i posted this more as a anthropological observation than anything else.
if you only look at what is being said by people rather than observing the circumstances, the why, and other "unspoken" things then you arent even getting half the learning experience

Look, when I listen to something for the "learning experience", I want to hear coherent and logical arguments, not 3-second sound bites flashed in rapid succession. That movie offers too much of the latter and not enough of the former, that's why I call it superficial.

And in the other thread, I was explaining how bad religions is, to which it was responded with "You don't understand that most people are religious". No shit. Of course, I am very well aware how religious people are, moreover I am very well aware of how religion influences the thinking even of people who think of themselves as non-religious. That is precisely why I talk so much about it, because as it is so dominant and pervasive in our culture, it has to be constantly attacked
