I don't know if we can call the fighters of the past overrated because MMA has evolved so much over time. Back then there weren't complete fighters that were good at more than one fighting style like there are now

Chuck Liddell is the most overrated MMA fighter ever. He fought and padded his record against nobodies in the UFC at 205lb, fought on a Pride card against Rampage and got put to sleep. Once the good fighters at 205lb made there way to the UFC Liddell was a KO waiting to happen.

He didn't really pad his record, there was no one else to fight. In 2007 when the influx of younger fully complete mixed martial artists came Chuck was 38 years old and already 10 years deep in his career. Some people just get old.

He did have a few good wins under his belt though, prime Couture twice, prime Tito twice, Vitor, Reem, prime Guy Metzger. His resume' was really good for the times.

You do know that Liddell and Rampage fought 2 times. The first fight was when Rampage was still with Pride, Chuck was with the UFC, and Rampage knocked Chuck out. The 2nd fight both were with the UFC and Rampage knocked Chuck out again. Check for yourself if you don't believe. Chuck Liddell is by far the most overrated MMA fighter to me.

if you're going to say lidell is overrated then throw in couture aswell lol. Chuck fought the best he could fight in his time, he took out all the people who was considered the best in his day with the exception of 1 fighter.

i know it's early but i still cain was the most overrated i've scene in awhile. i mean dude had a good little streak going and people were prasing him like he was a king in MMA. he was good but never great and too overrated IMO. all that is not his fault though and he's still a fighter i like. but he should've never been in the top 10 p4p IMO.

it was a TKO in Pride. Rampage took Chuck down and landed 5000 body shots and Chuck's corner threw in the towel.
TKO or KO = Ass kicked

Like I said before once the good 205lbs got to the UFC, Chuck got his ass kicked. When he was in the prime of his UFC career, Pride Rampage TKO'ed him. I just feel like Chuck is very overrated in MMA.

but he wasnt in his prime. he was actually coming down from his prime when he fought rampage for the ufc belt and he never looked the same again. the thread states in there time and in his time chuck was nowhere near overrated. and ever since he's lost the belt no1 has been able to defend it more then once besides jones who just might be the best lhw alltime (not saying he is).
