After watching an episode of Maury and admittedly being entertained and laughing at more than a few people and their lifestyles and predicaments, I wonder: do Maury and all these other paternity test shows that predominately feature Black men and women and exploit their bad child-rearing decisions constitute a new form of blackface? Are these people being exploited for network profits when, in many cases, they simply don't know or haven't been taught any better? It's funny because Maury acts like he cares and wants to help but when the crying starts or the fights start or the juicy shit goes down you know they're right there for the camera grabbin it all. I decided personally that these type of shows, like most network TV, are a fat ass waste of time. What do y'all think?

They are exploting these people, but its those same people that call up to the ad "yea I want to be on your show to talk about how my mom n dada are my brother n sister..."
The show just throws out a subject they want to talk about. Its the publics fault for answering the ad and then not being surprised that they looked like total jackasses.

yea actually iwas chillin wit my girl and she stays watchin that utter bs everyday i do not get tha shit it pisses me off... its fuckin wack as hell... i jus cant get wit it and yea mosta tha time it's younger mid 20 black females maybe a lil younger or trailer trash ass white girls but usually black but it's kind of exploitive in a way, but it's sad that it's real shit... IF THA SHIT AINT JUS ACTIN... who knows fuck maury and daytime television i only watch cartoons... adult swim. and tha simpson's. PEOPLE on TV Disgust me. mosta tha time with a few exceptions.

The tough Maury shows are the ones where you have to guess if its a real dood or not LOL

I think they just go by what get the best ratings. I guess this 'drama' just seems to be one of the hottest viewed topics. I wouldnt call it intentional blackface.

I watch adult swim too. lol @ thinking it was porn by the name.
