De-Loused in the Comatorium is a classic and I listen to it all the time. Frances the Mute is a really solid album too but I feel they were starting to slip a little with it. I really didn't care for Amputechture much at all. I guess they are working on a new one called The Bedlam in Goliath right now. They put on a great fucking live show, make sure to check them out if you can.

Oh yeah and...

Love em. ATDI is probably better but I don't like to compare really. I like all 3 Mars' albums, with Deloused being the best by FAR. it's probably one of the best rocks albums of all time.. actually, for sure it is. Frances had too much ambient bullshit but the songs themselves were good. Ampuctechture was great if you could stand the huge, huge songs (16 mins no problem.. lol), it had some great shit on it. But it's not as good as the other two.

Yeah, ATDI and The Mars Volta aren't a fair comparison. They are really nothing alike other then Cedric and Omar being it both. I just felt like stating that lol.

That's the thing about not liking Amputechture I don't get. I love Post-Rock and some songs in that genre are like 20-30 minutes long. So you think I would love The Mars Volta playing songs that length, but I don't. I mean, it's still a decent album, but compared to their other work, meh.

Yeah I saw them with SOAD too and it was about 50/50. But you have to remember it's two totally different types of rock with those two bands and prob. 90% of the people where there for SOAD.

When I saw them open for A Perfect Circle the crowd loved them.
