Y'all remember the Lifers Group? They were some real prisoners at rahway prison that put out a couple of CDS in the early 90's. The Real Deal was a tight ass song.

yea i remember years ago seein the album at rasputins..never heard it tho..what state was the prison in? and was the albums any good?

I think Rahway is in New Jersey. The production on the album was done by Dr Jam and Madness 4 Real, they did production for Ruthless records as well. The production is straight up gangsta. The tape I got only has 3 songs, but there are remixes of all the songs, instrumentals and skits with the prisoners talking. Im trying to find an MP3 of that shit and cant find it any where....

 

[Sentenced]

I only heard their second album, didnt dig it very much. It did have some cool cuts on it tho like "One Life to Live", "Jack U. Back (So You Wanna Be a Gangsta)" & "Short Life of a Gangsta". Never heard their first CD.
