Was too lazy to go in a remove the "Proof" watermark from the files I sent out as proofs, but here is the design I did for the next King George project, "The TRU Story". I keep it real simple with this one, straight to the point, and it worked for him.

Still waiting on some images for the back of the insert, but other than that the design in finished. Thoughts & feedback.

eh...not feeling it...i know you was going for simple...but its more boring than simple and clean...

the pics were dope...i dont think they were used to the fullest...

also the cover doesnt even have his name...king george doesnt really have the face where you just know who he is...(although his voice is very distinctive)...

look like you were going for the "I don't wanna do alot of work" look rather than the "simple" look..... you can keep it simple and still mess with lighting, color, etc etc.. looks like you just slapped text on a picture....... ms paint could do what you did

I appreciate all the feedback. I know it's not much of anything, but this is what he wanted and he liked it. As well, I'm still learning everything there is to learn about designing. But since he liked it, I'ma give him that. The next few projects that I work on will be better than this one (I'm hoping). But again, that's for the feedback. It all helps.

His name is on the inside of the traycard, which will show through the little window on the side.

You gotta give the client what he wants. OG dudes, usually want OG shit.

As the founder Travlyrics Custom Graphics in 1995, I've been in the custom design business nearly 13 years.

At the end of the day, King George needs to feel comfortable with the cover for you to keep him as a client and keep your stock price up.

Graphics don't sell albums. Marketing sells albums.
Artwork stopped selling albums in 1992.

Don't make rookie mistakes. Don't force your ideas. Don't take shit personal. And don't fuckaround and get carpal tunnel trying to do too much.

Here are some covers from our company website: http://www.travlyrics.com.

If graphics don't sell then why people with skillz charge so much?
I know if I see an album with wack graphics I am not even gonna give it a listen,
cheap graphics = cheap production sometimes.... its better to have no graphics than garbage that will turn people off.
