Alot of you are looking for that big break, but most of us know that the industry is political, every region gets a chance to shine, at this point and time the West is next until then, lets continue to grind the streets, we won't get a major deal and if we do, you'll get fucked, so like I said three years ago on the siccness, history repeats it self, it's time to grind like E-40, Too Short, Richie Rich, etc..

Why waste time and money on commercials, publication, posters, and snippets, it's gonna get burned anyway, I'm not saying don't do these things but spend less then what you would usually spend, cut it in half. At this point and time, if you have money to spend like say $20,000 got to ARIZONA and buy some property or a home while you're grinding your project to the streets, the real estate business is booming more then the record business, sometime the bling-bling could be property instead of the Platinum chain, trust me!!!!!!!!, you could get robbed quicker for your chain then your property, once your home get some equity and the music industry seems to be heading this way, (WEST) you'll be set and ready. I'm moving to Arizona with the owner of Out of Bounds Entertainment, and not Big Hollis to buy homes and property and start a Janitorial business and we'll still be doing the music thing

TRUST MY WORD FOLKS, stop spending all this money on your album that you think is going to sell platinum and Invest into real estate, now that's platinum. The labels aren't ready for the west yet.

that there is some REAL SHIT.

i can co-sign because i've seen all kinds of people bubble off of property... my uncle out in LA invested in property and now he owns a Porshe and an E-Class... my neighbor down the street is a handyman and his wife is a nurse. the muthafuckas bought a 1.2 million dollar house... they got the money from investing in property like 4 years ago.

if you artists on here got that kind of money to spare, then i suggest spending it in a way that you can make it back x-fold.....

You're right, Az is boomin wit real estate. Its startin to pop off out here.
But regardless, you got to grind big and spend a little to make a little. The majors will notice you if you can sell enough records independently. So until somebody can proove they can succeed as an indi label, ain't nothin gonna happen.

Building equity on a home sounds like a good idea, though.

If you can atleast make the money back that you spend on your project, then you all good.

Real estate is the game...just not in california

interest rates are super low and lenders have a tons of affordable loan programs which theyll hook you with if you can qualify. Qualifying is basically have a job for 2 years, good credit , no previous mortgage lates, and a little scratch in the bank. You used to have to put 20% down, but now you can get away with only 5% and some places are hooking 100% financing. If you wanna stack, fuck with this game.

Well ya'll.. I'm an Underwriter for a mortgage bank... (lender)... so if ya'll need the hookup on loans... holla @ me.

I am working at a subprime lender now... which means we can deal with FICO scores from 500 - up and we have numerous programs offering 100% financing.

Make sure if you are renting right now... and looking to buy a house in the near future that you pay your mortgage with your checking account vs a money order, cashier's check... etc... because it is a lot harder to do a VOR (Verification of Rent) which will assist you in being approved for a loan... this assures the lender that you are able to make your mortage payment/rent and there won't be any payment shock involved.

Anywho, yes - real estate is where the money is and I have seen tons of clients live off the equity of their homes....

If you have the money... I suggest you do it! I plan on buying a home within the next year or so... ;)

Yup, some real talk's being spoken. Signing to a major label isn't always the solution--like Black C. once said, it's good for promotion, but you won't always get as much money as you would independent, when you own your own shit. Besides, there's a good chance that you'll eventually get pressured into watering down your music in one way or another...

PEACE!

I told y'all 2 or 3 years ago that the independent rap game was fucked up. Cats tend not to listen when Mayor Peete tries to tell them the real.

Folks better learn what a resume is, lol

RE Salespeople =" hoes"...Brokers are the real pimps. but in this game you need to go through ho status, where I am right now, before you can become the pimp. As a broker, You can take pieces of people commisions just for supervising. You can also start a loan brokering business with a brokers licencse too.

sub prime borrowers might as well wear a sign saying "please rape me with costs" but i guess you cant complain when you still save money on getting a loan.

suave thats real talk mayne but we have been choppin that game up for years homey!we spoke on that shit long ass time ago, property is the way to go because the banks will give you anything you want as long as they have something to take from you! the music game is dying a slow death because #1 there are more rappers than they are fans!the quality over quantity hasnt set in with the indies or majors ,on real estate you can buy houses in these times you better have some loot stacked already because the economy is fucked! you need renters! no jobs=no renters,so you have to sit on property for awhile or at least until bushy baby is out of office, its good to come up when prices are down ,but you have to be able to maintain until the economy picks up ,niggaz already know the game shit we played monopoly when we were younger ,parker bros gave you the game ,we just never looked at the shit ,until credit is fucked up,spending gees on rent cars, jewerly, bullshit,

get the money! but it takes money to make money!
music business you can get cheese you just have to put inthe work the same as buying houses fixing them up and selling them, music you have to sell yourself or pay a real mf to promote your shit!!!!!!!
