^Thats what they said they were gonna do in the offseason and failed miserably... The team was garbage last year but for some reason Sabean thought bringin back most of the same guys along with a few other hags would make the team better..what a moron. If you have an old veteran team you gotta be more than competative because you sure as hell aren't building for the future..The team would've been better off giving a buncha minor leaguers a shot even if they dont have any decent position players in the farm system, they still couldn't be much worse than what they have now. If Magawon is dumb enough to resign Sabean in the offseason I will never root for this team again until they are both gone.

hey atleast the giants dont have to be good to sell out, the A's can be on fire and still dont sell out. Im not hating, just stating the facts. I actually think they should televize the A's more.

This is the truth. Bonds is still good but he just isnt good enough to carry a team on his back.

THEY SELL OUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE NICEST BALLPARK IN THE LEAGUE.
WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THEM BEING A SHIRTBIRD CELLAR DWELLING TEAM?

MEANWHILE THE A'S ARE ONE OF THE BEST RAN AND CONSISTANTLY GOOD TEAMS IN BASEBALL.

STICK TO THE SUBJECT.

Who gives a shit...Id rather watch a good team in an empty stadium than a shitty team with a sold out crowd.

The only thing the Giants have over the A's right now is better commentators..I swear the A's commentators make the game slower than it already is if thats possible.

For those that don't know shit about baseball, DON'T TALK and leave the discussion to real baseball fans. Now

First of all signing a BONDS was not a Mistake, Signing Zito was, and I WAS AN ADVOCATE OF SIGNING ZITO!!!!

He's had his moments but I know the Giants could have done better.

Now in order for the Giants to get on a roll they need to do the following, now that they have their "real' leadoff hitter in Roberts back in the Line up

He needs to set the table
Durham, Aurilia and Vizquel have to perform like their offensive selves last year
Randy winn and Bengie Molina need to keep doing what they do
Bonds Just be Bonds, he's not that bad and I rather have had him that Soriano or Carlos Lee for the next 5 years
The Starting Pitching HAS BEEN GREAT

Cain is 2-5 With an ERA under 3.5!!!! That's telling you the offense and bullpen aint getting it done!!!

Lowry is 5-6 with an ERA under 3.5 too!!!! Same explanation as I gave with Cain

Matt Morris WOW!!!! Comeback player of the mother fuckin year!!!! Foo was like 10-15 with an ERA over 5 last year in his first year with us, HE'S 7-3 WITH AN ERA UNDER3!!!!

Lincecum can only get better, you've seen his 97-99 MPH fastball, and his nasty slider/curveball combo.

Bottom Line, we need Roberts, Aurilia, Durham and Vizquel to Perform at their best in order to get anything done.

The Bullpen minus Benitez should be motivated enough now that he's gone to shut the opposing offense down.

The Giants will get on a roll now that our spark, DAVE ROBERTS is back.

The A's swept the Twins in the first round last year, including a game in which Barry Zito beat Johan Santana... The last time that Zito came up big in a big game.

the giants have no offense, our starting rotation is heavy though, and for years to come we should be good in the pitching department, granted brian sabean doesnt trade for players we only use half the season.

by the way, have you heard of Henry Sosa, the giants top prospect.

1. Henry Sosa, rhp, low Class A Augusta (Giants).

For most pitchers Henry Sosa's last three starts would be outstanding: 3-0, 1.12 with 20 strikeouts in 16 innings piched. But for Sosa they're actually below average. Sosa saw his ERA climb to a still microscopic 0.76 easily the best in the minors.

Sosa's season is nearly incomprehensible. He's not allowed two earned runs in any of his 12 outings and he's not allowed any earned run in seven outings. Righthanders are hitting .109 against him this year. And his stuff is legit: he has a 94-95 mph fastball that has touched 98 this season to go with an improving curveball.
