some of the first rappers I heard was ghetto boys Too short and E-40

About 10 or 11...an old coolio tape (it takes a thief). it wasnt even the real tape, it was 1 side of it recorded on a memorex tape! but i popped that bitch in every night before i went to bed, and followed along... everything else is history....

My brother brought home a dub tape,and it had a cut on there,and I was like...Darn,LOL,what is this???Have no clue who it was,and I remember they sampled a popular beat.(can't think of it)

went something like..."If your nasty.......sexy,sassy.....keep movin n groovin"lol.....somethin like that.It's been all rap since then.

I was listenin to rap,when brothas used to actually clown on me for doin it.

I can't remember............:( .........I'm too old. lol

All I remember is that I was really into the breakin' music that came out in 82-84......I hadn't really heard much "Hip-Hop" though. The first shit I remember hearing and was like "Yo.....that's the shit" was in 1985. My pops bought me the Miami Vice Soundtrack and it had this song called "VICE" by (I think) Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel. After that........I was hooked. Not long after that (summer of 1986).........I moved to Las Vegas and met some cats from LA who hipped me to all the old school West Coast shit like Mixmaster Spade & Toddy T.....LA Dream Team.....Ice-T........Egyptian Lover.......World Class Wreckin' Cru (Dr. Dre). Then "Dopeman" & "Freaky Tales" came out and changed the world..........

Aaaahhhhh.............those were the good ol days. I miss them times..........:classic:

about my 8th grade year, is wen i really heard somthin i liked, i mean i listened to tha mainstream radio shit. but i remember tha album was Notorious B.I.G. - life after death, definitely got a better feel for music now, but my friend was tha one that got me into rap, and im thankful for that....

THAT IS A CLASSIC AND IT'S A TRIP I GOT A CHANCE TO KICK IT WITH HIM AND MAC MALL MATTER OF FACT WHEN I FIRST STARTED RAPPING IN "93" I KICKED IT AND PERFORMED WITH BROTHA LYNCH HUNG,DRE DOG,SAN QUINN,J.T. When i started listening to rap it was bass cd's like dj magic "feel the bass".. Then the shit like dj quick "tonight", ice t, nwa, ice cube, 2 pac, ghetto boys, easy e, & scarface,,, all that shit i was fealin... i didnt care much for the mc hammer and public enemy type of music..
