every side of town had gangs before crips and bloods came out such as BUSINESS MEN ,ACEE DUCCIES.CENTRAL CITY .EASTSIDE HANGANG...ETC.... but ass far as the first set as we know them today i believe west coast was the first to come out yellin crip ima get at my big homeboy KILLA SHARK and find out fa sho then come bacc this afternoon and let yall know ...he was there ya know!!!BLUE DIAMONDS inever heard of ..what side of town was they on?

This is accurate. I remember Mike Farve was the first homey really bangin' PBI and he was in the 8th grade at Wilson, and I know for a fact it was '79. The og homey EC was the first to say it, but Mike Farve was bangin' it, and then other homies followed in the years to come. Cuzzin Ice can vouch for Mike Farve. They used to kic it real tough. Then we changed it to EDM about '86. All of the shit you stated SouthSanDiego is real close to being accurate. I only can give a real close estimate on Crip and Blood gangs, but the homey Cuzzin Ice could go before that with the sets that weren't Crip/Blood yet. When my brother and them used to go to Ocean View park when they used to have bands up there. That's way bac in the day. But from my understanding The Coast and 5/9 were the first, and NH and Lincoln were right behind them. Then came East Side Piru/Skyline, PBI/EDM, OBB/Emerald Hills, LVC, Lil Africa, Ofarrel Park. Do any of ya'll remember G/P Gangsta Playa. They used to where burgandy. I think they were 5/9 affiliated. My 4 cents.

True muthaphuCCin O.G. right here, no doubt lincoln park was CRIP like a muphuCCa bacc in the dayz, don't know why they switched over or what happened (School Yard might have some 411 on that shit), but shit happens doe, and yep! West-Coast 30's was the 1st Active and oldest Gang set in San Diego, then 59 brims, NHC Rollin 40's, Ghost-Town, lincoln, etc... way bacc when lincoln was cool with skyline they was both claiming piru and wore red and wuz cool like dat 2 gether, then some shit went down with some lincoln and skyline niggas then some lincoln homies said fucc it and adopted green as it's color, called themselves syndo and changed shit over.. and basically said fuCC that piru/red shit. A few lincoln niggas bacc in the dayz wuz still roccin red 4 that piru doe even after they had switched over. now lincoln and skyline are arch enemies, The termite squad is younger riders from lp straight green/syndo and put it down in a big way for lincoln. And oh yeah, Ghost-Town was ran up off the bloCC/set by lincoln, them niggas was wayyyyy too close and had skyline right on the other side, so them niggas got extinct, but some went to NHC and a few to the Coast. For whatever it's worth, Them Ghost-Town niggas was puttin in MAJOR work doe, even if niggas don't give them no holla, I remember them niggas, they wuz right there with the "Get Down Gang" a.k.a. The "41 Mad Drivers" from NeighborHood Crips.
