i thought there would be more on this album for some reason...expecially with that song about dre where he was cryin and shit

he might be paying respects but its still excessive regardless. couple shout outs is cool but when you are averaging almost 10 a song it gets kind of annoying

Seems he can't even write one verse unless it's structured around another rappers name. Even when he isn't name dropping, he's using lines from other rappers songs.

But the thing is does he have one song on the cd where he says a bunch of names or does he say a few names ever song?

Kinda like that WestSide Track from TQ. If Game has a song like that on the cd, it isn't as bad as ya'll making it out to be.

He does over do the name dropping, honestly. But I think he gets unfairly singled out...because a lot of rap in general has a bunch of pop culture references...shit not even just rap...even on television...

I think this is a problem with the whole rap community, with all of the brand name and name dropping...not just one dude...

but the game does it excessively. its not even to the point that he throws out a name here and there. and when he uses dre's name or fifty's name in a verse it usually seems as though he's just trying to show everybody who he's associated with. its like that kid in high school who would always brag about being friends with so and so... c'mon who really gives a fuck?

Wanna know why he name drops so much? Subconsciously he feels the need to be validated, substatianted, and approved, so by associating or seperating himself from certain individuals he gives this idea to others (you know, that block tested hood approved shit).

No one wants to be alone in the game.

That's a little something I'm working on. I call it Musical Darwinism and it's not to be confused with Literary Darwinism.
