Remember that Satan is a concept introduced by the Old Testament. Before that, there wasn't any belief in Satan.

So if you believe in Satan then it doesn't make sense that you don't believe in God. Satan is part of God's creation....

I kind of understand where you are coming from.
I discovered evil long before I discovered God myself.
I found myself surrounded by Demons, and I was in denial the whole time....
It fucks with your head, it doesn't introduce itself but it finds a home in you hoping you don't notice it.
But there is symptoms to go by to pick up on this shit....

Just remember, there can't be no evil if there isn't a God....

Miggidy.....
Yea I understand what you're sayin, but I guess for me "evil" in general is considered to be the devil, and I wouldnt consider "good" to be directly related to god in the same way.....I dont understand why God can be both good and vengeful, which I think could be considered somewhat evil, but "the devil" is ONLY considered to be negative. As far as people's beliefs go not all acts of god are good, why are all acts of the devil bad?

You have to understand that the only time God has ever been vengeful, it was against the fruit of the devil.
Everyone talks about God in the Old Testament and how violent he was at times but they fail to fully grasp the complete story.

God made it clear in Genesis that he will not kill a handful of innocent people in the process of killing thousands of wicked people. He will spare the wicked for the sake of a couple of rigteous people.

If you read what's been said about God in the O.T., you will find that God killed descendants of Satan. The flood came when angels mixed with humans, something that pissed God off. Men then became wicked, it was all part of Satan's plan to ruin Adam and Eve's seed.
Just know that when God killed in the old days, he killed his enemies, anything related to Satan.

He was only trying to protect his people....

PS.... I agree, good doesn't necessarily mean it's related to God.
And evil isn't necessarily related to Satan.
We have free will, we are given the gift of choosing. We are capable of both good and evil....

If God acted upon his enemies wouldnt you still consider that to be a form of evil? Because on the flipside......evil is evil, thats all they know, they're meant to be evil, so for them to be killed based on that seems confusing to me, because if they acted in the name of God they would be commiting treason because they're supposed to be evil.....I guess it's all just how you look at it. If Satan didnt directly kill the people of God, is it right that God act in that way opposed to Him influencing His people in other ways?

We are all his creation.
He created us to be good people, not evil.
Evil was not part of the plan,
Satan intervened and poluted his creation.

He then had to start over again, Satan again poluted the seeds of Noah and his family. So God ordered Moses to kill these evil people, later he asked the same of king David.

But evil is still in our blood....
We are all sinners, hence the sacrifice of Jesus. Who's blood is meant to cover for our sins.

Wicked is wicked bro, I understand that you do not agree with God killing evil people. I guess that's a personal thing for each any every one of us.
I for one can understand God for doing that.
To me, the action is not violent. We are his creation, and he is entitled to rid the Earth of evil because it belongs to him and not evil....
But that's my opinion.

the devil seems more "real" to many because his deception is the illusive material world.

Many people do not see God because they are attached to this illusion and cannot see spiritual truth.

Without spiritual knowledge it may seem to many that evil reigns. But that is because our souls ar conditioned in this material energy. As long is this persists will be as long as we are susceptible to the duality of good and evil. God, being the author of this duality, transcends it. God, Himself, is not evil. Nor is He good, (as far as the duality goes). But, one should come to understand God's transcendentality as being supremely Good, which is beyond our relative material conception of "good versus evil".

One could say that the devil is the perpetual duality of pleasure and pain. There is no pleasure without pain and vice versa. Same with good and evil.

But, God is eternal bliss. Pleasure and pain, good and evil, exist under Him, but He is not susceptible to them.

Another way to put it is with the example of knowledge and ignorance...

We (individual souls) will always have both knowledge and ignorance. You cannot have one without the other. We will never have complete knowledge because we will never be God. God, on the other hand, portrays in His being no ignorance, whatsoever.

The point is, many people only see the duality of the material world and perceive that if they want to feel good they will have to remain susceptible to feeling bad. Hence, many may feel the devil, (material illusion of duality), is more real than God...
