Why is it that individuals of little talent are elevated to a godlike status once they're dead? As if all the bullshit they did, the murders, rapes, and jackings, not to mention the shitty albums, suddenly don't matter?

Everyone's shit smells a little less when their dead. Even with your own family and friends, suddenly they weren't so bad when they're dead, even though there were moments in life that you wanted to beat them down within an inch of their life.

^^^that doesnt make sense. i get the general idea, but individuality and creativity does not spring from one of those two entirely different occupations.

Your absolutely right. I couldve posed that differently.

^^^I mean, u make a point...its a pretty fucked up way of looking at things, the way our society is....but, they are just two different occupations, especially since one is entertaining people.

You need to give an example of this, I can't think of a rapper of little talent that was elevated to godlike status after they died.

i can't think of anyone elevated to god like statues after they died. people are just paying their respects to a fallen souldier.

biggie smalls got heavily overated(not to godlike status) after his death, but thats all i can think of off the top of my head

I can feel Fistcuffs on this because this has happened a lot. Its a difference between paying respects and just over rated somebody because theyre dead. A lot of these rappers out today who are complete garbage, it they died today...the media will make them out to be some of the greatest artists of all time. But I have seen a lot of cases where a truly talented MC dies, and never gets the credit they deserve, my prime example...Big L.

WHEN YOU DIE,
YOU AND WHATEVA YOU STOOD FOR gETS INMORTALIZED, ESPECIALLY IF AN ARTIST. YOUR ART WORK DON'T MEAN SHIT UNTIL YOU DIE. BUT WHEN YOU DIE, YOU PAY FOR ALL YOUR SINS. HAVEN'T YAW READ THAT SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS THAT THE WAgES OF SIN PAYS DEATH? HOW TRUE IS THAT WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT.
