I think this may have been posted before, but oh well.
For those of you who read the book, what did you think of it?
Even though it seemed to cause lots of controversy, I would definitely recommend you to read it, especially if you're interested in art or religion at all.

The book (except the terrible ending) was pretty good and entertaining, I don't buy the whole theory but it contains some very good points. It definitely made me more interested in Leonardo Da Vinci though.

I haven't yet read Angels and Demons (the first book about Langdon), but I will read that too in the near future.

the only reason I have no intentions on reading it is because it takes history and mixes in fiction with it. this type of stuff causes you to not be able to separate the facts from the made up stuff. it sounds very interesting and is one of the few books I think i could enjoy but since I like history so much, i dont want to confuse myself

yeah I kind of felt that way reading it, like i couldnt tell what was real and what was fiction. so after i read it I looked up some of the stuff that he mentioned to see what the real story was. i think that's a sign of a good book, if it pushes you to want to find out more and you enjoy it at the same time. it can only be misleading if you let yourself be misled.

I haven't read the book, is that the book where it suggests Jesus had a mistress?
If so, I heard they're supposed to be making a movie out of that, or at least would but might not because of obvious religious outcry.

Discovery Channel is Propaganda... never believe anything having to do with humans. The animal stuff, that's informational to an extent, but the history stuff is simply one tyrant's point of view... never use that as truth, the real truth is knowing truth does not govern you.

^^ aw jeezus i'll help u out

basically, the curator of a museum is murdered one night in a weird fashion, which is supposed to be a clue to something. his grand daughter finds him, and tries to piece together some clues he left behind with the help of a professor in symbology or something. they figure out that he died to protect a "sacred" christian relic, and they have to compete with an evil catholic organization to find it first. what is this "sacred relic"? its the holy grail.

and it goes on from there. it was entertaining, but it ain't Paradise Lost or anything

Most people don't like the book, well besides for the shitty ending, because it mixes historical facts and science with historical interpretations.

I would recommend Dan Browns 'Angels and Demons', its a better story in my opinion.
