Some of you may have checked out their site. www.cdbaby.com is a online record store that sells CDs by independent musicians. They got music from all kinds of genres from artists from all over the world. You can check out snippets from different albums over there.
I made this thread so people could recommend some albums they have heard/bought at their site. Eastcoast/Westcoast/Midwest/Down South/Uganda, it doesn`t matter!! There are a lot of artists at that site who claim that they are the dopest in the game, so this might be a good way to differentiate the good from the wack.

I will start off with:
Dramatik "On Da Grind"- http://cdbaby.com/cd/dramatik
From Mobile in Alabama. I ain`t a big fan of "Crunk"-music, but this is actually impressive. The beats are pounding , and the sound quality also seem to be decent. Check out: "On da grind", "No mercy" and "This ain`t what u want"

Bogie Presents "Gametight California Compilation"- http://cdbaby.com/cd/gametightcal
Some of you might have heard this already, Gametight is a Westcoast label. Mitchy Slick and The Wrongkind, Suga Free, Relativez, I-Rocc and Ecay Uno among others is featured on this one. It`s a nice introduction to a lot of San Diego rappers. Check out: "OT wit tha yax", "Southeast Diego", "Aint got time" and "Whats it all about"

I will post some more later!

I don`t work at cdbaby.com, and I ain`t related to these artists.

Check out: "You say that u real huh?", "Don`t talk that shit" and "Momma neva told me".

Money Waters "The Porch" - http://cdbaby.com/cd/moneywaters
I believe this dude is from Dallas, Texas. I read about this cd in Murder Dog, and decided to check it out. His flow and subject-matter seem to be quite similar to Devin, and he uses a lot a live instrumentation. His voice reminds me of someone, I just can`t pinpoint it, maybe Petey Pablo.. The production seem to be top notch, in contrast to many other albums at Cdbaby. I would in general describe it as quite funky and humorous. He only got 8 snippets available, but at least check out: "So I...(the other side of trickin`)", "Cut fa" and "Excuse these blues".
