Of the movies I’ve actually seen in order (top ten best):

300
Grindhouse
The Astronaut Farmer
The Kingdom
Knocked Up
Shoot Em Up
I Am Legend
Zodiac
Shooter
American Gangster

Movies yet to be seen that would probably push most of the above off the top list:
3:10 to Yuma
Eastern Promises
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Into the Wild
Gone Baby Gone
No Country for Old Men
Juno
Walk Hard
There Will Be Blood

I thought you didnt like Shoot Em Up? I saw it and thought it would make a killer Anime...some of that shit was SUPER outlandish...and i loved it.

I have only seen half of Grindhouse, and hated what i saw. All that dialogue about nothing in particular killed it for me. The chase scenes were great though.

Still want to see Kingdom and American Gangster.

I have 3:10 To Yuma and Eastern Promises at home waiting to be watched.

I saw Juno and was a TAD disasapointed...maybe becuase it got such high praises and i expectred more? I just felt like the witty dialogue from the lead actress tried to be to quirky and hip at times....i still recomend it though for its great supporting cast and writing. Michael Cera is the ultimate "akward-teenage" actor

I wanna see all the other movies listed here, especially Walk Hard and No Country For Old Men.

Cant remember everything I watched, but from this thread the only real ones I liked were:

No Country for Old Men
3:10 to Yuma
Eastern Promises
Vacancy
Superbad
I Am Legend (ending was gay though)
Zodiac

300 sucked.
American gangster sucked.
The Kingdom sucked.
Black Snake Moan probably the worst movie I've ever seen in my life.

Still haven't seen grindhouse, 30 days, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Sweeney Todd, Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman, The Assassination of Jesse James

Nah, I liked Shoot Em Up. I kept saying I wanted to see it, but didn't get to. Finally did and liked it. Not a movie meant to be taken seriously. I laughed a lot. Did for the bad action movie what Rodriguez & Tarantino were trying to do for Grindhouse.

I have only seen half of Grindhouse, and hated what i saw. All that dialogue about nothing in particular killed it for me. The chase scenes were great though.
I liked death proof, but not planet terror. Not a high water mark for either director. I think good directors trying to make shitty movies only = shitty movies. Sure there were things you could take away from the Grindhouse movies, but the movies still sucked. Same went for these. The trailers were the best part.

Still want to see Kingdom and American Gangster.
Kingdom = good action - that's it
American Gangster = Denzel good as always, horrible ending, story that took you no where - better off watching the BET documentary

I want to see Eastern Promises, but I would bet money on me not liking it. Still going to give it a shot and maybe I'll be wrong.

i always thought that broad looked weird anyways. Horrible, horrible movie. Norbit was also just as bad, if not worse. God awful film. same with balls of fury. And I didn't have to see Evan Almighty to know it probably sucked harder then all of them. lots of shitty movies these days.

Honestly CB, I was disappointed with Eastern Promises, I expected much more. But it was still better then most everything else I seen. I imagine part II will be better.

I would never willingly watch Norbit - so I wouldn't know. Balls of Fury was really really bad, like they tried too much with the story and fell short with all the jokes. Nothing makes me want to see Evan Almighty.

I figured that is the case with Eastern Promises, which is why I'm in no rush to see it.
