this is not really music related, but it is Bay releated...if the mods think it should be in a nother forum go ahead and move it...

i was talkin to my boy a while ago and the bay area, mainly Oakland, is really turnin into some shit that it wasn't back in the day (mid 90s)...i remember when the town was fun...now-a-days you gotta worry about everything and watch everybody...and not just these dudes, but the females too...it seems as if people from Oakland, and the Bay Area, make it out to be the best place ever...i use to do the same, but in these last few months i've been seein different...its so fucked up out here today...i've been through a lot of shit out here in the past week alone...these lil young niggas out here are on some old other type shit...i mean the dudes my age (i'll be 18 this month)...tv, music and movies got these niggas heads all fucked up...i know its like this damn near everywhere else and worst in places other then the Bay Area, but thats all i'm see and thats all i can speak on...and these females out here ain't about shit...luckily i've found me one that i think has her shit together...everybody wants to be a "gangsta" or a "thug" or whatever the fuck they concider themselves...i'm ready to knock every lil nigga between the age of 15 and 21 on the ass for doin the stupid shit that they be doin...i use to always say that i would never leave oakland...but in these last couple of months and i'm really thinkin about leave the Bay for a while...take a lil vacation for a year or 2...i mean, i will always love the Bay Area, and Oakland, but i can't be around this shit for much longer without fuckin goin crazy...

i just had to get this shit off my chest...post you comments/thoughts on it this if you like...

dont get me wrong,i feel ya on what you saying butlike rebel was saying,you just older now and see more shit that you didnt when you are younger cause now you are out and about,and know whats going on around your city....nothing is changing,its the same shit that has always been going down in the bay,just now your eyes are open to it

i feel you on the them punk ass kids though....coming through my neighborhood acting yard like they run shit...makes me feel like some old ass man cause i'm out there yellin at them and shit,and tellin cats to slow down in their cars and shit...i have had my window broke out in my car (nothing stolen) like 3 times in the last month...it be havin me wanting to choke some punk ass kids,haha

i feel kavie i went threw the same shit awhile after i hit 18 years old. either you are going to be one of the people who want to do something positive in life and once you realize life isnt about huggin the corner all day and fuckin with immature females who aint got they shit together it erks you to see it or be around it all the time. after you graduate high school when you stay in your city 80% of the people you know or seen all them time aint gone be doin shit for themselves and as you get older you realize its a shame. after high school and once you hit 18 its way diffrent than just being forced to attend school everyday and do your work n shit you have a choice to do whatever the hell u want when you done with school and half the niggas and females dont do shit.

im 20 years old and i was goin threw the same shit again i go out to clubs over this summer 3-4 times a week thursday-sun i be out so much gettin hella bitches and stuntin inside the clubs niggas would hate but the more you are exposed to the street and outside its just gone be that way i feel you on taking a vaction im going to LA to take a little vacation from the bay to be around some new shit for a week

oakland has never been a factor in what makes the bay so great. I'm not hatring or anything but oakland always has and unfortunately may always be shitty. what makes the bay so great is frisco, the actual bay itself and the nice weather year round. Other great things about the bay is the northern bay like marin county and the silicon valley, berkeley, the diversity. oakland, although a hard ass town, is not a pleasant place to go.

i think its the mentality a lot of mother fuckers got out there. People out there just dont give a fuck. I grew up in berkeley/oakland so i feel what u sayin man. East oakland especially is a crazy ass place. The east is where i be seeing the craziest shit people be so fucking hot always doing some hot shit. Everybody out there be breaking the law.

U always gotta watch urself out there and ur belongings cuz niggas stay tring to hit liqs and all that. Cops be some straight assholes out there too. Its justa hostile ass place. Hella murders too. Thats why i live in berkeley. Berkeley got some hot ass niggas but it aint oakland, oakland is just crazy.

i never said shit about oakland makin the bay so great...i didn't say anything about the bay or oakland bein great...i'm talkin about all the bullshit that goes on out here...i know its not a great place...i love it, but at the same time i hate it...
