LOS ANGELES- Two suspects were caught on tape snatching a business-woman's purse containing more than $100,000 in cash, police officials announced Thursday.
According to investigators, a woman withdrew the huge sum of cash from the Bank of America at 3320 West Olympic Boulevard around 5:00 p.m. on January 14th.
Little did she know, police said, that two men had been watching her the entire time and followed her back to the parking garage of her Koreatown business in the 1500 block of West Olympic Boulevard.
When the woman stepped out of her parked car, a man approached her and tried to wrestle the purse out of her hands. Los Angeles Police Department officials say the man violently grabbed the purse from her when she resisted, and ran off with a second suspect who was standing nearby.
The suspects escaped in a blue four-door sedan, which may possibly be a Dodge Intrepid.
The woman was not injured in the robbery.
Investigators believe that prior to the incident, the suspects had been lurking around in the bank, eying customers who withdrew cash.
Both suspects are described as African American. The first suspect is 25 to 28 years old, between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 170 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue pants and black shoes.
The second suspect is 23 to 27 years old, between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs between 190 and 200 pounds. He has a goatee and was last seen wearing a black and gray knit cap, white T-shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes with white soles.
