Main even is Freitas...i cared until they released the undercard.

Who is Echols fighting u ask...Richard Grant.

Grant was the one to get his jaw broken by Butler on that cheap shot. He fought after that, but this is his first televised since then.
This guy is fuckin crazy takin Echols so soon.
Been an Echols fan since he was runnin with 15 wins on Friday Night Fight undercards.
Now he is hittin showtime once again...

Youd be crazy to miss this.
If u saw Echols last two fights, u know what im sayin.
Oscar Bravo, dont even get me started on that 42 seconds counter left hook.

echols cant box for shit...hes just a puncher, but i feel you he is exciting to watch.....cotto versus ricardo williams in the jr. welter div. thats going to be the match to watch for in the future also look for mohamad abdulaev the russian olympian in the same div....the jr.welter and jr.middle got to be the two most competitive divs in the sport right now

Very true E-Dubb, I had picked Cotto & Williams right off the bat when everyone was talking about Bojado. Bojado has the skills but they rushed him to fast and his head got to big. Williams and Cotto seem more down to earth and a mature. Abdulaev I would say is a step behind the others mostly because of opposistion. I got to meet Cotto so I am a little biased though. But even after his car accident he didnt let it get him down and worked hard and got himself back to where he is now.

Echols cant fight?
He can throw any style at anyone.
You've heard him talk, he can adapt to anything.
"If he wants to brawl then thats what i'll do, I've been training long so we can go the distance. But i rather go home earlier."
But my point was that Grant is steppin up too much.

As far as Junior Welter...
I hope Tsyzu fights Leijas in January, thats whats talkin right now.

echols can fight but he isnt a top notch fighter. first hopkins took him out twice. echols is an exciting power punching fighter but he gets tires too fast and fights in 1 dimension. he also has to many out of the ring distractions always getting into trouble with the law that take away his possibility of being great. he is a very good fighter just not a champion

oh ya,he should most definitley knock grant out.....i didnt say he couldnt fight... i just think he's a class b fighter....i think any real boxer would make him look bad.....but good for him hes fighting in the right div...where there isnt really a proven dominant champ...i believe he can compete with lucas, mitchell , and calzhage and maybe ottke but why you think he made the jump to that div...theres no way he could have beaten hopkins or even trinidad or simon.......its still to early for me to pick between williams and cotto they both need more experience, although i agree that so far cotto probably is a little bit ahead due to fighting a little stiffer competition...........i think tszyu dominates leija when that gos down

Tszyu should stop Leija on cuts.

Cotto is being talked about against Ivan Robinson for the Oscar/Vargas undercard. That would be his second hi grade opponent.

Speaking of Oscar/Vargas, they had a road side confrontation while training in Big Bear, both sides have different stories.

Frietas wants to fight Casamayor again.

Hasim Rahman wants his belts back from Lennox Lewis. Even though he lost the belts are still actually his, as each champ gets to keep their belts. Usually they will give them to the new champ and he returns them, not so in this case.

Mike Tyson is looking to return to the ring in November.

Thats it for the Boxing news.

Good Fight for Echols.
Opponent was of pretty low caliber but caught antwun a couple times in the second.
Thirs round stoppage, i knew Echols would dump this fool/

Freitas fight, ok, little boring towards the end...
