how long ago did you see it?
and did the single you saw have a pic cover?

i was at G-Man Stan's studio a few months ago to transfer the whole vinyl single onto CD. he said he needed it for a friend of his in Japan. and plus G-Man Stan said he never seen the cd single with inserts before. im wondering if they took the recordings and pressed more up. what do you think?

I say odds are good....we've all heard about folks getting repressing's made on rarer CD's and then trying to catch folks slippin on-line w/o letting it be known. I also saw were G-Man Stan released his own lil comp on vinyl only in Japan, had old unreleased tracks he produced by Young Woo, Street Thugs, & someone else.

yeah, those G-Man Stan vinyl releases were actually released by a japanese dude who lives in frisco. he paid G-Man for those songs and pressed them up on vinyl then sent all the copies to japan. G-Man has a shit load of unreleased tracks from the early-mid 90's. those are gonna be worth some money some day cuz he said he only pressed about 500 copies of each G-Man vinyl releases.

but as for the MOBB CD single on ebay...the auction said he got it from a record. i was kinda trippin thinkin if they repressed the single using the recordings from my vinyl record. G-Man said his friend in Japan wasnt going to use the recordings to repress the cd..he said something about the japanese are writing a whole book about the history of bay area rap and is going to include a soundtrack or something. they said they were going to include the "Good Times" song on the soundtrack. unless those japanese dudes lied and really used it to repress the single on cd. i dont know about that line "I GOT THIS FROM A RECORD" in his auction description.

DJ Remarkable, that's pretty cool that you met with G-Man Stan at Find A Way studio. He's been behind the boards for a lot of my favorite bay releases, like Sean T, Chunk, etc. I remember this post from Mac (of Mac & AK) who claimed Stan bit his style. I wonder what's really.

Also do you or L-Wood know any more info about the single? The copywrite is 2005, but when were the songs recorded? It cost too much to get from Japan, but was worth it.

Lil Lane, im not sure exaclty when those songs were recorded. 2005 is just the year he pressed the vinyl. but G-Man mentioned that these are some songs that never made it on the artists' albums back in the early-mid 90's. Theres VOLUME 2 to the G-Man vinyl series. i got lucky and got a free copy from that japanese guy. i forgot what was on the record but it had a black label instead of a white one. ill pull it from my storage and post pics of it soon.

he also pressed a vinyl EP with about 3-5 songs from TON (2 Ton of Tha MOBB). im not sure if these are new solo tracks from TON or if they are just unreleased solo tracks from the "Never Trust Them Hoes" album. ill post pics of this vinyl too this weekend. ill try to get more info from G-Man.
