Texans agreed to terms with QB Jake Delhomme.
Coach Gary Kubiak made it clear Monday that he wanted a veteran QB who has "been in a few rodeos" as a fall-back plan to rookie T.J. Yates and newly signed Kellen Clemens. The 36-year-old Delhomme, who had been working on his own horse farm in Louisiana, was chosen over Jeff Garcia after Tuesday's workout. Coming off a 2:7 TD-to-INT ratio and 5.9 YPA with the Browns in 2010, Delhomme isn't an immediate threat to Yates. The Texans could turn to him as a steadier hand by late December, however, in preparation for the playoffs. Clemens is the No. 3 QB.
