i think its instinctual, because it goes beyond race, culture and gangs. one time there was this bitch staying at my boyfriends house. i didnt like her because of a few reasons, but i think the main reason, is because it was my mans house....i.e. my territory. i didnt realy have a reason not to like her, but she made me feel hella uncomfortable. after she moved out, everything was cool. i think it was the simple fact that there was another bitch in my territory.
I disagree about the animal theroy...
If a male lion comes to another male lion's pride they will instinctivly fight for the pride, and the 8 mile stretch of land will become the victors.
Lions are extremely territorial for survival. They mate to spread there bloodlines and feed on the wildlife within the area.

I believe that man is territorial for materialistic purposes. You have to be a part of somthing....be it a set or a football team. Together the groups strive to be more powerful then other groups. And the reason man wants to be a part of a group is because of the strentgh in numbers.

We have animal instincts. Were all the same instinct wise.
FOOTBALL is organised, true it involves money, but it is neither teams territory. All the land they play on is the NFL's. They are put there. And it gets violent....

It is the reson. The most violent animals do what they want and own the most shit. We may have laws against the violence now, but if you look at tribes still in existence it is very violent.

1st one... the NFL pays them, its their job to work for them and entertain us. They own their endzone, but only in their minds.
2nd one... animals do the same as us, they want land to keep woman animals and live and eat. We do too, but we have to buy it. When Indians lived with the land, they went where they wanted. Stayed in groups. Hunted and shit within their land until they needed to move if nesessary. Just like animals. And they would fight each other over territory and property disputes.
