Well, if you've looked at the ballot this far down, you may be wondering what's up with this All-Star Award category. It should be obvious, but if you're new to the scene, the deal is, these five acts have been winning their respective categories just about every year for the past three-plus years -- with the exception of Tech N9ne, who returns to the ballot after a fame-prompted absence. We welcome still-famous Tech back to the fray and invite his fans to compete with those of Mac, the 'Tects, FtS and Split Lip, all of whose mantles are crowded with recent PMA trophies.

i find it funny that tech is up for this. 2 years ago tech told the pitch not to put him on the best rap in kc. he was sick of winning. this is a new award which for many years of hard work from what i see. seen all those rappers or bands live and they all rock. there is a few more that should be up there, like "the leo project."
