only on stuff that are DRM enabled.

================================
App: Windows Media Player 11

Issue: No Updates available, but some media when played cause WMP to notify user that an update is required.

Resolution: Click "Upgrade" and WMP will connect to a 'Microsoft' server and get the update.

Specifics: DRM protected subscription-service WMA music files require license/drm update for WMP 11, but the Help menu->Check for Updates command returns nothing. When a DRM-protected media file is played, it will then propmpt and download the require update.

Further: Microsoft (Windows) Update site does not list the update required, nor does WMP specify what the update is either.

also if you are connected to the internet, and WMP11 trys to go gather track information like artist, album title, etc. and it is copyrighted material, it will also ask you to update your software(DRM). Or you wont be able to play them. Your best bet is to not use it. This happened to me a couple of times with MP10 at the MTV site. Think they were practicing.
