I dont know that...
People that I encounter from the LOU at my school are too "one tracked" in the head and act as though NELLY is the pinnacle of the rap game or whatever, and until Tech tops the Superbowl and 8 million sold then him or basically anyone else isnt shit in the game... They need their heads pulled outta they asses for one minute and realize that Nelly doesn't give 2 fucks about his fans or what he sells to them, unlike Tech, he'll show you more luv than you deserve... So I am not sure on that homeboy, they probably hate every artist that comes through that muthafucka if it aint Murphy Lee and Nelly...
Nelly aint paved no way in this game for anyone else, he just does whatever them big people tell him to do for a buck and he does it... That's what makes him a sellout..

my 2 cents.......
I had a roommate at college 2 years ago that was really into Nelly and the Lunatics.....and he was from East St Louis....Nelly has a lot of love in St Louis from what I hear. I don't doubt that a lot of folks down there listen to other shit, and I know a lot of cats from there that HATE Nelly....yourself included. But he's from STL so people from STL are going to be labeled as people who like Nelly.....just like KC and Tech.

I gotta hear this shit from people up here at LU all the time... They are always talking shit on Tech like he aint shit cause he aint sold as many as Nelly it's all funny , but soon as we diss that POPHOP singer, then we are hating... It works both ways dogg...
Soon as I walk in the door, people are yelling "Tech's weak"... "Fuck Tech" and they are the same niggas that be asking me to give them some free tickets or a free CD when they are coming to perform.... They can't just admit that they like Tech... They have too much pride to say that!
All the chicks from the Lou are especially the ones that got it bad with Nelly and The Lunatics shit.. Talking like Tech aint shit before I say Nelly aint shit, but soon as I come with the facts of him being a sellout, then they are speachless...
