Tech n9ne article in Chicago newspaper

I was surprised to see a Tech article in today's (Mon 1/22) edition of the Red Eye, which is a free, more "hip" version of the Chicago Tribune. Taking up most of the page was a big ass pic of Tech's face with the glasses on (same as his MySpace page layout). The piece itself was small and descent...yea it mentioned Everready being in stores, but it mainly talked about how the Alpha Dog soundtrack may be a way for Tech to finally hit the mainstream. Tech gave some comments of course, and they touched on how he's a non-conformist, how he used to have a red mohawk (never mentioned the spikes-go figure) and all that. If i can get my printer up, maybe I'll scan the article.

wouldve been nice to see this back in December when Tech actually had a show here. :ermm:

Being from Chicago, this is huge to me. Also the fact that Travis and I were talking a few weeks ago about a campaign in Chicago for the album is even bigger. The biggest thing is that this is the day after the Bears win the conference championship and everyone on the subway this morning got to see a huge picture of Tech in the paper amongst all the Bears hype. Chicago is only the third largest city in the country and second cousin to KC. A city we need support from. Thank you for posting this. I will be in Chicago on the streets with hella promo this weekend.

Yea I'm more of a Sun-Times person myself. I kinda miss their Red Eye rival, Red Streak. I remember they actually had a full page article on Esham a couple years back.

It'd definitely be great to see more of a Tech N9ne campaign in Chicago. The Red Eye article helps, and if the Twista remix of WTTM comes out, that can help get alot of these sleeps into dude as well. I still have a little street team swag left; there's a upcoming show or two I have in mind to pass that out at.
