This is more or less an FYI post.

I work for Verizon Wireless and messing around with one of our V Cast music phones. I was doing a search on there for Tech N9ne and came across Vintage Tech and Absolute Power. I went to the download option and every song on both albums was on there. What that means basicly is that you can download both albums to your phone if it has the V Cast music option on it.
The reason I'm posting this isnt to try to promote Verizon but try to show that Tech shit is getting more mainstream. Last year this time I did the same search and came up w/ nothing. I think this also may mean that when Everrady does come out you'll have the option to buy tracks off there or the whole album if you want it. I hope that Strang Music will look into releasing more of Techs albums on there and possibly other aritst ie: Kutt, S&S, BG.
If you got a VCast music phone I'd suggest checking it out.

It depends on how you do it. If you want to download music direct from your phone w/o connecting to a computer it costs 15.00 a month plus the cost of the songs. The 15.00 a month also gets you unlimited access to the web on your phone and free streaming video clips to your phone from espn, mtv, vh1, fox, etc. If you drop the 30.00 for the music kit you can download your own music for free from your own personal library using a usb cable and the included software. I recomend you do that since you can rip and sync the music to your phone that way. I just put No can Do,Sleeping Beauty on my phone and been bumping it at work and getting everyone hype for Everready ( Cant tell you how I got or I might get banned lol). I would also recommend you get yourself a memory card for your phone. I had to bite the bullet and drop 85.00 for the 1 gig mini sd card for my phone. Theres cheaper cards our there tho so I'd shop around a little bit.

if your phone has a transflash slot dont fuck with vcast. i've got Dawgs 4 Life video & Now Its On live perf on my phone to go along with 50-60 songs.. all u gotta do is find the format ur phone supports then get a program to convert your media to that format. does anyone think tech gets any money off vcast song purchases? thats kinda coo if he does, otherwise fuck vcast.

on another note, if you could get tech n9ne ringtones from verizon that would show he's getting more mainstream. the southern artists are all doin it & i'm sure they get some profit from it. chamillionaire, bun b these fooz are blowin up & you get ringtones or them even talkin as your ringtone.. tech outta do somethin like this.

vcast.. what a crock.

btw - hi everyone

Verizon just released a statement that there adding more content from indie artists and labels. I'm sure that we'll be able to get Tech tones and videos soon. And I'm sure that Tech is getting payed on this since all of his songs are lisenced and royalties have to payed out for the use/ sale of his music.

I dont see how you can call Vcast a crock drew. Its just like any other music service out there. If you go to ITunes is the same shit. At least if you do it this way your still supporting the artist and theres a better chance of them getting payed then by going to places like limewire and getting it for free.

Just my opinon tho

It cost that much to get a 1gb mini sd card! I'm happy with my 32mb card in my T-Mobile Motorola V360.

Ive got a samsung a950 music phone, VCast is junk if you know what you are doing. Why pay for songs when all you need is a flash card/usb cable and windows media player. I've got about 100 tracks and a bunch of videos on my phone now

Yeah i got a verizon motorola e815, and a tf card. I use ImTOO 3GP Converter to put all kinds of videos on it. Chappelle show, Family Guy, Girls Gone Wild, Hip Hop Honeys, whatever, and a bunch of mp3s. and yeah, i put a bunch of tech ringtones on it too that i made myself. for anyone interested, you can get the ImToo 3GP Converter at crackdb.com. it converts any video file into .3gp for your phone or .mpeg4 for your ipod video. but yeah, don't fuck with the USB cable for the phone, that shit is like $30, and the tf cards come with a usb adapter.
