Tech N9ne shoots for the lottery
Local rapper T ech N9ne got a feature written about him recently in the Idaho Statesman. Though frustrated by the politics of the music business, he has multiple songs on the movie soundtrack to “Alpha Dog” and that new CD, “Everready (The Religion).” He’s hoping that it’s time to proclaim his eligibility for the big-league hip-hop draft.
“The scouts are lookin’ at me now,” he said. “You know what I’m sizzlin’?”
Tech N9ne, who plays in March at the Granada, has sold more than 600,000 CDs independently.
“We love college ball,” he said, keeping with the college analogy. “It does a lot for us. But we can do so much more. And what I mean by doing so much more is infecting so many more people with this beautiful virus of music.”
