Finally, Ouma get's a real shot at the title.
I've been waiting for 3 years now. It's just too bad he had to move up to 160 to do it. I thought a 154 shot with Winky would be perfect.

5.5 to 1 dog on this one.
Ouma needs to fight close or he will be staring at a punctuated left jab all right, probably followed with Taylors deadly right. He needs to get in close and stay VERY busy (which he always does). That is the only way he can get the nod on the decision. I don't see Ouma knocking Taylor out or even down (unless it is to the body). Ouma has never been knocked out before but he has never fought anyone like Jermain Taylor.

My mind - Taylor KO9
My money - Ouma Decision

No big money has gone either way. The majority of the books dropped Taylor from 800 to 750 just to get more action, but Ouma has stayed at 550.

Taylor vs Mora is a joke.
I think it is a plot to bring all the newly inherited boxing fans that were gained from that Contender show to become hardcore boxing fans. To think "Wow, I thought Mora was great and he just got demolished, I wonder what else I have been missing?!" That type of deal.

Ouma has a ton of heart. He needs to fight the fight of his life.

IMO, Ouma is just too small for Taylor...who really should be fighting @ 168 anyways ( which I hear he's going to be doing after this fight )...plus he's got the big home court advantage.

The only way I see Ouma winning is if Taylor lets Ouma out work him, and possibly beats him by points, because Ouma does let his hands fly freely.

Anyways, should be entertaining. But I want to see Taylor take on Calzaghe...fuck Mora...

Taylor and Lacy were on the same olympic team. People said that what Calzaghe did to Lacy, Taylor did to Lacy as well in training. Complete domination. So it would be a good fight. Calzaghe apparently didn't look so great in his last fight though.

I didn't think Ouma won a round, either. He looked like a little brother fighting an older brother. Didn't stand a chance. Too bad.

Taylor should be happy he got the nod versus Wright, though. Winky won, in my opinion, easily. A rematch would be great; just not for Taylor.

Sidenote - Miguel Cotto won the other night, also. He's supposed to (I think) fight Antonio Margarito in the near future. Cotto is, IMO, an over hyped punk who hasn't fought anyone at the top of their game. Corley was robbed in Puerto Rico, and this last guy was giving it to him until he got caught with the body shot. Credit to Cotto, no doubt, but when will he fight someone GOOD?

Sounds like a new thread...
