The Homeboy TANK hasn't dropped the HOODLIFE Cd yet, but dropped the CALI MOVEMENT [mixtape] last year.
As far as word "Celebrity" goes, this deals with us up here in Northern/Central Cali. There are some that have been paying dues in this Game for years laying down the ground for the new Homies comin' in. I just feel it's pretty fucked up when we all can't get no love in most of these major stores (they won't allow us to put our music in there), but they have racks & racks of cats from l.a. and other areas/states.
Bet most would pay to see a show from a SO CALLED Celebrity from some other area, but the reality is he ain't much of a celebrity he is just like all of us, just been pushing a little harder and perhaps is backed up by his city (which make the image appear bigger than what it really is).
We just like all these other Homies have a right to set a standard and charge for a verse like everybody else that comes to our area and charge.
It's time we stepped up our Game and show everybody that the Salad Bowl isn't just a whatever place that has a bunch of no names/nobodys. Step it up Homies, show love to your area.
Laughing at artist from your area you showing no loyalty to your stomping grounds and what makes you think when you drop you gonna get love when you yourself has taught the next batch of youngsters that this area is a joke when it comes to rap artist.
Yes, we've all had problems with others from our own area, but there comes a time to officially squash that shit and let the Salad Bowl stand on it's own two.
