aikido over judo.....imo..

ju jitsu is tight too
I TRIED AIKIDO AS A KID THINKING I WAS ABOUT TO BE ON SOME STEVEN SEAGAL SHIT. BREAKING ARMS AND REARRANGING MORE BACKS THAN A CHIROPRACTOR. IT WAS LIKE A COORDINATED DANCE.
HELL NAH THAT SHIT IS PHONY AS ALL HELL. WHO THE FUCK ACTUALLY LETS YOU SPIN THEM AROUND LIKE YOU WAS PLAYING RING AROUND THE ROSIE IN A FIGHT??? I DID LEARN SOME THEORIES AND TECHNIQUES BUT FOR THE MOST PART I NEVER EVER HAVE USED ANY OF THAT SHIIIIT.
A JUDOKA WILL RAPE AN AIKIDOKA ANY DAY. WHY YOU THINK NO AIKIDO DUDES EVEN MAKING A SPLASH IN MMA.

LEARN HOW TO WRESTLE OR BOX. IF NOT MUAY THAI OR JIU JITSU.

but aikidos purpose is to not exert energy on your behalf, so of course its fluid will be a little like dancing (much like capoeta as well) he didnt ask like 'whats the best shit to kick a niggas ass with' taekwondo and aikido are good for learning techniques and how to 'follow through' with your movements.

i def. wouldnt suggest either if he was just looking for sparring and straight up force...i figured since taekwondo is defensive in nature aikido is the next step yknow?

thats one thing i didnt liek about taekwondo, sometimes i just wanted to throw hands, like sparring was the day i looked forward to but you werent allowed to just bomb on people.

I did Judo and Jujitsu in the 90's and Aikido is cool, but its just self defense. If ya notice When they do Aikido demonstrations the Master is always being charged full boar by students and they get thrown every where.....Just walk up to the Aikido master...you have Zero energy in motion..ya feel me...Judo is great when the fight is at close proximity, and when your opponent does not Expect ya know Judo... Thats when they are open for easy throws and Sweeps....Once you learn how to fall in Judo..shit gets fun. There is also Jujitsu type submissions in Judo as well.

if you wanna learn a vast variety of martial arts that are street fight effective without taking all those different arts at a time and cashing out.. look into Jeet Kune Do (JKD) its not a martial art.. its a system developed by bruce lee that is meant to work in a street fight and close combat. You even get to learn weapons fighting and how to handle multiple opponents in a fight, in a weapon fight..

if you want a bad ass martial art with lots of discipline and the best conditioning ever.. Muay Thai is the art.

I've been around martial arts like my whole life.. ive been doing brazilian jiu jitsu now for 4 months and its a fucking good workout you wouldnt even expect it. I took JKD for a year but my club moved and raised the prices so i decided not to follow. Before that i took some tae kwon do, kung fu, boxing, wing chun, kali/escrima filipino martial arts and krav maga (israeli combat art)

Oh and Judo and Ju jitsu/jiu Jitsu are like brothers.. they compliment eachother.. they actually are from the same art.. just that judo focuses more on throws while ju-jitsu focuses on ground fighting.

Also look into Kyokushin Karate.. its bad ass, muay thai like in a way.. Georges St. Pierre trained in this art.

the most important technique that you need in fighting is, mental skill. f#ck all these other b.s tae kwon do, judo etc, you dont need those.

the secret is just confusing ur opponent.

i seen a dude make 5 people run after he put ketchup on his knucles.

taking bout the secret "Heinz fist" technique
